"After, definitely after!! Though I think the Queen's method is milk first." If memory serves, milk in tea originally came from Queen Victoria and the method was tea first, then milk, however, it makes no odds lol, some people prefer it the other way

"Place a Yorkshire tea bag in mug/cup. Place desired level of just below boiling water into cup. Allow a minimum of 1 minute to brew. Pour in desired level of milk whilst stirring and lift the tea bag out with a spoon, mashing it against the cup wall getting more loveliness into the cup. Add more milk and sugar to taste. If you make it any other way you're doing it wrong. "

"Depends if you're pouring it from a pot it should be milk first, teabags in mugs, milk last. Basic tea making skills!" Milk 1st in mug reduces the temperature and therefore you don't get a proper brew. Milk 1st from pot removes the need to dirty a teaspoon stirring. Fingers crossed Mrs ddc is sourcing me some proper leaf-tea from Assam for my birthday...(good old ebay ) Mr ddc

"Hello all, my first time in the lounge. Should you put milk in cup of tea first or last? First of course. Anyone saying anything different is of lower class and should just be pitied " Oh buggar, good point. Scrub my first answer and replace it with "I have no idea, I'll have to ask the butler"
