Who likes Halloween?

I love Halloween, it was an important 'holiday' in my childhood and that lingers on

Some people think it's American rubbish, but its history takes you back to Gaelic and Celtic times.

Never done anything for it, but we've been invited to a family-friendly party this year so I'm gonna embrace it, even if it does mean taking my daughter glorified begging

We always had bonfire night and mischief night and were aware of Halloween but it wasn't a big deal. The festival of hallows eve is older than America at a guess but the trick or treat shite is def an American thing

It is huge over there and really rather nice if a little over commercial

As an adult it's an excuse to dress up. As a parent I hate it. Teach my daughter not to talk to strangers or take sweets off strangers then take her out to knock on strangers doors to collect sweets?! I don't fucking think so!

I've loved making lanterns and going out with the kids. But the current flavour is just a commercial novelties hype season. Id like the traditional more than the commercial.

I love it and have allowed kids to go often even taking them into a different area

friends kids had an awful year as mum diagnosed as couldnt walk anymore

so as a special for them I got dressed up and took them halloweaning as the ugly nasty witch

I got some right looks from the kids but the night was made very special as they come home with more than they had ever had before

I'm a fan of Halloween too, dressing up in the costumes is one of the best parts about it, especially the last couple of years been to swingers clubs for Halloween and the Halloween themed nights have been great.

As a teenager me and my friends would dress up and go trick or treating round the neighbourhood, was great fun.

So... I see you received the free ticket I sent you.

I'm glad.

I did so want you to be here. You see it doesn't matter if you catch me and send me back to the asylum... Admin's been driven mad. I've proved my point.

I've demonstrated there's no difference between me and everyone else!

All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am.

Just one bad day.

You had a bad day once, am I right? I know I am. I can tell. You had a bad day and everything changed. Why else would you dress up as a flying rat?

I mean, you're not unintelligent! You must see the reality of the situation. Do you know how many times we've come close to world war three over a flock of geese on a computer screen?

Ha ha ha ha HA! It's all a joke!

Everything anybody ever valued or struggled for... it's all a monstrous, demented gag! So why can't you see the funny side?

Why aren't you laughing?

Used to love it, used to deck the house out with lanterns, music and stuff, really go to town but ten years ago my exes grandad died and his funeral was Halloween, for 8 years we didn't do anything, it didn't feel right but last year we decided to stop dwelling and start doing, this year were going all out again!! That's what grandad Fred would have liked!

I am going to the Torture Garden Halloween Ball this year and I cannot wait. My outfit is nearly ready, I just need to add some tulle to the bottom of my gown and I need a few more practices of the makeup I'm trying to perfect which encompasses latex and should look very scary

I'm a big fan of November 1st - All Saints Day. Big excuse to remember departed loved ones. Nowhere better to celebrate it than Mexico or Texas - dias de los Muertos

Halloween has never caught on in these parts. Was never done when I was a child and I can only remember being trick or treated once.

Loved halloween when i was a kid. Or as my granny called it haleen. Used to spend ages deciding what to dress up as and what wee ditty i was going to do. All the kids in the street went out guising in a big group accompanied by a few adults. We'd all cram into folks living rooms and each do our party piece in return for a bit of tablet or some monkey nuts, toffee apples. Whatever we were given was gratefully received. None of this trick or treat shite!
