Seen a few adverts for a clock that seems to help you sleep better - the lumie bodyclock. Has anyone used one and are they any good?

I had a lumie lamp that would wake you slowly with a 'sunrise' over 30 mins. You could also have a 'sunset' too. Basically it was a SAD lamp attached to a digital clock. It was great as far as taking the edge off SAD symptoms was concerned.

It is a great way to wake you up naturally. Wouldn't be without it.

Didn't rate mine, I'm a deep sleeper so I felt a bit like waking up in a room where someone had switched the light on suddenly, made me feel disorientated

I wouldn't want to go back to a normal alarm. It puts me to sleep to sound of waves and I'm gently woken by it getting lighter and birds tweeting gradually getting louder. No more jumping up to a loud alarm from a deep sleep. Saying that they are expensive and I maybe would have thought twice except I spotted the top of the range one mispriced on the Boots website so got a bargain
