I lost 3 stone to get to where I was happy with. Too much has slipped back on through injury though.

Go back to basics - your 1st week - imagine you still have 3 stone to lose & the determination you had.

And when you do find your motivation, please send some this way!! xx

Firstly well done

Iv started back at the gym as I could feel and see I was putting weight on.

It goes to my face and tummy first grrrrr.

I'm finding it hard to lose a stone.

I'm determined to keep going and have something to keep me going.

Maybe you could find a dress you really like to help?

I saw someone in here mention starting a weekly weigh in thread. Obviously not mentioning your actual weight unless you want but as a way of keeping track and helping each other.

I've got to lose a bit of the baby weight and then another couple of stone on too ideally if anyone is up for it? x

Firstly OP well done on losing 3st! Some great advice about going back to first week mindset & basics to kickstart again?

Maybe think about an Xmas countdown & a sexy new dress in a smaller size as a mini-goal?

I'm following WW & go to class weekly. Have lost 36lb so far but like you have lost my motivation & way a little....

I think a weekly post on here could be good encouragement for those like us that need a little help x

my weight is 29 stone 5lb..

so if your ever feeling a bit shit, or if your ever not happy with the scales just be thankful your not as heavy as me

Ive no issues sharing my weight as im determinded never to give up and that this time round i am focused and will slowly shrink

I want to drop 2 lb a week and want this to be a long term lifelong commitment so that when i 'go alone' and dont need SW its a lifestyle i can maintain

They say when you first start dieting and exercising to lose weight, you lose a fair bit.... but as you're just doing the same thing, there's no dramatic change happening anymore, it's harder to lose the weight and it just comes off gradually. So just have to be persistent with it or keep changing your diet, but that risks the potential of gaining weight too... Good luck

Yeah, over the last 3 years I've lost 5st. This year I've been yoyoing with half a stone and I've finally had enough and joined a gym. My day job is at a desk so not great for fitness, so now I'm going 3 times a week before work. Lost 4lbs last week, and hoping to lose a stone and a half for Christmas. I'm keeping an eye on what I'm eating, not calorie counting everything but trying to make sensible choices, and if I'm craving something I'll have a little of it. Also trying to vary my diet and try new things as I found I was eating all the same sort of stuff, especially at breakfast time.

Lil miss ...... Well done on losing the weight, everyone finds it hard going once you've managed to get to that goal you wanted. With this weather coming up it starts to get even harder too!!!!

Just try and set a eating plan for the week and try and add a small run to start with ..... Don't try and do too much too quick. You will get into the swing of it and want to do more....if you done this with someone sometimes you can use each other to keep spirits up too!!!

Another note is I think you look great in those pics ...... You seem a attractive woman

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Set yourself a goal.

I've lost nearly 18 and a half stone now since 2010. I was a size 26, 46/48GG and through careful eating (I hate the word diet) and exercise am keeping it off, even with not being in the gym since May following a car accident (only got back to it last night)

Drink loads of water - we often don't drink enough, find an exercise you love (I've now trained as a gym instructor and am learning to teach bodybalance)

And check on your portion sizes - I switched to smaller plates so it didn't look so lost...!

Motivation - I've never been a gym buddy type - my work is flexible hours but does mean I cannot regularly commit to a certain time without forward planning, so I tend to go alone between meetings, and when I can manage it. I also love mud obstacle racing (Spartan, Tough Mudder etc) and find training for those really inspires me to keep active too.

It's taken me two years to shift five stone. And I had three months over the summer where I just totally plateaued. It was so disappointing but I have just gritted my teeth and continued and it's started to come off again. Oddly, going to see the nurse at my doctor's surgery for a contraceptive check-up was what kept me going; she hadn't weighed me since 2001 and I am now three stone lighter than I was back then in my twenties. That fact cheered me right up.

It can take a while for your brain to realise your new size. You will still have days when you feel fat. Just wear something a bit baggier and don't beat yourself up about it. Your head will catch up eventually.

I had a weigh in while I was at a doctor's appointment a couple of years ago and I'd lost 10 kilos. I was surprised because I hadn't been doing much to lose weight, just more walking and less tea. I'm doing the same again now and I can see the weight falling off again.

I refuse to wear anything baggy, I've worked bloody hard to get to this weight, my skirts physically can't get any shorter so I've moved on to shorts I fit in the size, but my head is saying I can't.

It's not a case of beating myself up its making me seriously ill.

I change my clothes a out three times a day just to make sure i fit in them as I think I will have outgrown them so quickly

Felt brilliant the last couple of weeks now I've gone back to thinking I'm really fat again and I can't stop buying clothes cause they fit me and then I think I will be to fat for them next time I wear them.

I've just spent three days driving my son crackers with it all"

We discussed this over coffee the other day , you are Deffo not fat ! But doesn't matter what I or anyone else says because you will still feel it x

"Massive well done to everyone on this thread who has battled with their weight and managed to lose it. You are inspirational.

Good luck everyone who has decided to make healthy lifestyle changes (me included). Here's to fitter and healthier us.

Mrs x

Thank you for my unexpected birthday thread

You are very welcome. Its a special one too ? I hope you have had a lovely day. Best I don't mention cake on this thread though. "

I'm 50 and spent all day on the sofa with my cold.

I had two chocolate cakes bought for me. With my lot I was lucky to get one small piece. I'll walk it off in the morning
