I have just used the mets weather Tracker predicting the route this Category one hurricane will travel in The next few days its heading up towards Here from the Eastern starboard of the united states so folks be prepared to Hang on to your hats and everything else You can it was at 75knots wind speed at 0600 hours this morning just off the American coast its heading this way now Across the Atlantic somewhere around saturday I think it will get here not looking forward to this, we Can,t blame michael fish this time nearly 30 years ago was his famous Statement, it will probabily pick up Speed before getting here, our local Church for the first time the tower and steeple probabily since they were Built in 625 years has been prepared for restoration with cladding and scaffolding reaching up some 80 feet or more quite a sight to see, but not A time to have a hurricane about, I hope the scaffolders have been made Aware of this danger and have done Their up most to prevent any thing Flying off, gales are bad enough but Lets hope thats all we get here and Everyone keeps safe where ever you are...

Wilma was my favourite hurricane name. You don't mess with a Wilma.

The remnants would not reach us until the weekend. I thought in any event it had turned south and was unlikely to hit us.

It's good when people thank god for avoiding hurricanes. That'll be to the same God who's killing people with said hurricanes in another part of the world

Firstly it won't even be a hurricane when it gets here anyway.

Secondly if we did have hurricanes as big, be far less damage for a start since Americans mostly build out of wood.

Been in two hurricanes, first one just annoyed me as i was trying to sleep and the 2nd didnt really damage much, meant their were no queues at the theme park the next day.

See a couple Tornadoes when we left New Orleans earlier this year, amazing stormy weather over there, makes thunderstorms over here look like nothing

The Town by The Cross

From the Evening Standard...

Mr Brown said: "Ex-hurricane Joaquin poses us no threat as we have been saying since Monday.

"It will split apart to our west on Friday as it comes up against the building ridge of high pressure over us with the main energy diverted south to Iberia and later the Mediterranean.

"For the UK we can expect mainly dry weather and a steady drop in temperatures as the easterly flow moves from Russia to eastern Europe and then across Germany to the UK early next week.

"Temperatures next week 2 or 3C below normal by day and some chilly nights too with a few showers moving off the North Sea to eastern England."

This weekend, temperatures across London are expected to reach a high of 15C on Saturday and 14C on Sunday.
