"Just ignore a message or to reply saying 'sorry your not my type'????"

The sites FAQ state that ignoring messages is not considered rude on fab.

I've done both but find if I go down the "sorry..." road to lots of people that means we've entered into a conversation of sorts and I get more messages.

I've currently got 900 unread messages in my inbox, not ignored just not got round to reading. If I replied to them all I'd be here forever.

I think I should get braver and start to use the block function!

A polite no thanks, and wish them well usually works

To delete, that way if they try to message again they'll get a helpful screen/message telling them their last message was not replied to and so won't waste their time messaging again...whether they pay attention or ignore it is another matter

Women would have sore fingers replying no to 1000 men a day, it would be a day time job, so ignoring them would be easier for them lol.

So they don't contact you again and possibly cause annoyance.

That's what I like to get back if they are not interested esp as I've spent time working out what to put in the message.

And I always reply to new messages. Not that I get the number you ladies get.

"Just ignore a message or to reply saying 'sorry your not my type'????"

It would depend on the message personally. How am I supposed to respond to a message just saying "nice tits" I say thanks & then they think I want to chat and I don't always or I say "Sorry I'm not interested" and then I get told they're not interested either.

I can't win

If anyone messages you and you don't want to chat, send them to your new social secretary - moi

Or

Do what I do- send a cut n paste reply vis-a-vis "thank you for your message but it has been deemed too dull to reply to".

To be brutally honest it all depends on the message received in the first place. A well though out and written, personalised message will receive a no thanks if that's the case.

How some guys want us to reply to a message that just says 'wow' is a mystery so they get filed under B1N pretty sharpish

I'd say you should always just send a polite message and let them know you aren't interested (as a guy) instead of ignoring. I can understand why women don't and I don't personally care.

If it's a face picture that put you off though maybe leave it until a message or two.

OP all I can say is treat others how you would want to be treated yourself in this debauched sex meets world .

If you do that then your staying true to yourself and at the end of the day that's all that matters .

If your mean be mean if your kind be kind like attracts like at the end of the day.

What's the difference between not answering someone you're not interested in or just blocking someone you're not interested in? You don't tell the person why you've blocked them so why should you tell them why you haven't replied to their message?

Manners are there to make it easier to understand other people, so rejecting someone (you would think) would make it clear you don't fancy them.

You don't have to use manners if you don't want to, nobody is obligated to interact with anyone they don't want to.

I always used to reply to everyone but it fostered inane chat too often, where they'd cling to the hope that they'd get a change of heart..

Now I reply to some. Blocking is helpful too.

Leave it to your preference, judgment and time availability. All are equally fine in Fab.
