Breaking up a post when quoting

Noticed recently someone quote a post and break it up,

They stated "sorry for breaking your post"

This has me thinking, I frequently break up a post iam quoting to keep it short, some can contain a number of posts and get quite long

So the question is does it bother you if someone quotes you and then breaks up your text

No cos sometimes i ramble on and talk endless bollocks but occasionally amongst that will be a salient point..

as do others..

and it keeps the thread from looking like a rewrite of war and peace..

That was my mindset, but seeing an apology for doing it got me thinking is it advertantly annoying to some,

It would only bother me if the context were lost and that led to misinterpretation/misrepresentation. It's never happened though andmost of my posts are irrelevant shite anyway

No.

Frequently I do it to clarify exactly which point I am responding to. I have even been known to re-write a post in order to clarify my understanding of it.
