as you get older it seems that your toe nails grow faster i swear i cut them last week just had to do it again?

i never cut my toe nails, i use a nail file....cutting em makes my teeth go on edge, bit like nails across a blackboard kinda thing

My boy (15) trims his toenails by chewing on them.. usually on the sofa while I'm trying to watch telly. So disgusting...
