X factor dilema

I know I'm gonna get a lot of stick for posting this but I'm really anxious about it (please don't laugh) for the past 4 years I have applied to audition for the x factor but due to my lifestyle I.e swinging and the people I have had sex with in the past has always stopped me turning up just incase I was to do well and then it all comes out in the papers. Now I'm not being so egotystical as to think I would do very well but there's always that thing in your head that says what if. Any advice short of cosmetic surgery?

Fact of the matter is even if you weren't a swinger, any woman you ever looked at if you were to become famous would want her 15 minutes too and claim you tied her to the bed for a night of debauchery!!

Goes with the terrority I'm afraid.

Realistically though...what are the chances?!!

I guess the people you have to think about are the people who matter... i.e. your family and friends. Why do you care what complete strangers think?

My father was a singer won a show very much like Xfator and was a swinger married my mum at 18. Thay had a wild life ....... it should not stop you going nothing.Only thing is stoping you is inside your head.... just look read the papers everyone at it or shagging behind there parners backs papers are full and now its very boring it OLD HAT..... Papers would never run storys about you and swinging ...You would have to kill them after shagging to make paper .... and then you would never be on tv or papers be locked up.I can sing too never know i may go on the show too x be two of us swingers there .lololol ....jo x

Here's an idea - int he event you get sussed by the press, just claim to be the average promiscuous 20-something year old british male with access to the internet in the 21st century. I bet that covers 99% of the population

Just go for it, its only swinging, not as if we're all hired assassins. Its a risk whatever though isnt it, if you were that good, you'd surely be doing your utmost to be on stage singing so if you ever made it then you'd have the same problem regardless of xfactor

We have never watched it and never will. A program that is at least partially fixed from the outset, that dismisses good talent so it can have some people to ridicule...

You want to be on it??? Says a lot..

But so glad you think it is cool NOT to watch it though

Don't wanna blow my own trumpet (that's why I'm on here lol) but I can definately hold my own I used to sing all swing music with the royal brittish legion but I have always been a bit nervous about someone recognising me. Although as many of you have said you get one life and you should live it as u want with no regrets. Also that swing song is MINT lmfao

Not necessarily someone could contact the press giving website names and user names but keeping theirs a secret. Its all fair and well for everyone to say do it but there is some irony that many saying this don't have public face pictures.

Lets not forget how vitriolic the British press can be towards some groups and swinging isn't the most admired pastime.

To the OP. If you want to go on the show then shave your head or dye your hair but be aware of being outed. If you can live with it then go for it. But if it may affect your job, life and friends then think hard before following through.
