"After 12 months of watching the TV adverts for the "Nutribullet~ We "finally" bought one for £83 from Ideal world last week & OMGOSH!! we love it!!! Just had a Spinach, peach, pear, grape & fresh orange smoothie with a blast of mixed seeds to upgrade!!...totally delicious!!! :o) Does anyone have any great recipes to share a "bullet newbie!! ;O);O) Luv Jules x ps: lost 5 llbs in 7days!! i feel FAB!! " Had one for just over a year and having mess around with it initially, it has now become the staple breakfast deliverer. Best thing we have ever bought. Out with bread, cereals and fatty breakfasts. In with a fab blend of Kale, milled flax (milled in the nutribullet), pineapple. Blueberries, dates and goji berries. As the 50+ something guy here I can tell you that the issues of heartburn, back ache and other middle aged things have not bothered me since Christmas / New Year. If you don't over use them and always have more greens than fruit AND make the smoothie a replacement meal you will reap great benefit. As I said above... Best thing we have ever bought.

"I got the Jason Vale juicer and blender some great juices and smoothies to be had Just had a look on amazon bit expensive really " But worth every penny as its a slow juicer ..some juicers burn a lot of the nutrients as they get juiced the slow juicer doesn't you get all of the nutrients from all the ingredients.

"See, my mind is just filthy. In Currys the other day and bought a new cooker, when we paid for it we were given a voucher for £20 off a nutribullet. My eyes lit up and I gasped, until hubby whispered.."No, its not THAT kind of bullet!" I actually thought Currys had started selling vibes! x" Wasn't just me then!!!

"I have to admit that I have never seen the point of squishing fruit and veg into a mush to drink rather than just eating it as it comes ? Is there a reason for this ? I don't like to much fruit and can't eat much as it makes me ill but I do eat and enjoy lots and lots of veg so I get far more than the 5 a day so why do people use these devices ? Asked in a pleasant and interested way and not as a criticism " The device pulverises anything you put in there. With things like flax/linseed it enables your body to rapidly digest all of the nutrients. Same with kale/spinach - pulverises to a mush and when mixed with equally pulverised fruit makes a smoothie that is easy to digest and packed with nutrition. Biggest mistake some people make is to put too much fruit in it and thereby loading themselves up with sugars as opposed to the nutrients of the fresh greens. I personally never had the so called super foods until I got the bullet, now I have them every day for breakfast.

"I've been a lil hesitant after learning that a major benefit of eating greens - fibre - is severely diminished by vegetables being blended... It's still better than no vegetables..of course.. " you can get fibre elsewhere but still get all the vitamins from veg/fruit through the drinks - its the fibre that my girl cant handle so its brill for that

" I've not heard that but apparently juicers are a false economy because it separates the fibre and you chuck it away. The nutri blends it up so fine that you drink all the juice and fibre. I still eat my 5 a day in normal meals plus I use my nutri and I look healthy so it works for me.

" How is that possible when everything that is pulverised gets consumed on a form that the stomach can digest easier than whole foods.

Think 20 a day rather than 5

Think 20 a day rather than 5" I'm just saying what I was told by a nutritionist, but nutritionists do seem to like to disagree with each other. I use a nutri bullet but I also eat my 5 a day with meals, and 90% of the fruit I consume, I eat as a snack inbetween meals. Also I like the nutri bullet cause I can put seeds and nuts and wheat germ in it. I like my diet, feel great, but wouldn't push it on anyone else. Do what you believe is good for you and what you enjoy. Ps iv just upgraded my nutri bullet to the 900 wat professional

" I'm just saying what I was told by a nutritionist, but nutritionists do seem to like to disagree with each other." I may be wrong, but that may be because nutritionists aren't regulated, so anyone can call themselves one, whereas dieticians are regulated and need to be qualified.

" No nutrition is lost. No fibre is lost but I can imagine it's much EASIER to digest and so the effect on the necessary effort of the intestine could be diminished. Got to be better than boiled veg tho. I love RAW veg but couldn't consume as much as I do if I didn't have the nutri ninja. Other bullets are available. No cabbages were harmed in the posting of this message.

Maybe The end of the day I think variety is important, I wouldn't eat the same stuff week in and week out. I don't eat processed meat, I use healthy cooking methods as much as possible, I drink plenty of water every day. My diet is by far better than Jo blogs so I'm happy.
