No, it's a message based system not an instant chat based affair.

No comprendez. If you send a message to someone and they reply, then the reply will be in your inbox (and, since you are site supporters, the original message will be available to read in the reply)

Maybe they are wanting to arrange a surprise for one partner who won't know the details until the actual meet. Who knows?
