"do you know what I mean/what I am saying…" - yes, I am English too so have a full comprehension of what is being said

when people say something "was to die for…." - for some I am willing to give them their wish

BUT / YET / HOWEVER are words that negate previous statements ... For example ... I'm not complaining BUT that food and service was really poor.

People who preface a statement with "not being funny but" then go on to be incredibly and usually unnecessarily rude.

When they say "we must meet for coffee" and you know they'd sooner be tied to the side of a pig and rolled in the mud.

I once had a woman say to me "in the nicest possible way,..." then proceed to be a complete ass. She did it constantly in a single phone call. So when she finished, I said "in the nicest possible way" and then told her off. Fuckin annoying!

I loathe it when people say 'no offence but' - and then proceed to be horribly offensive!!

So many people seem to think they can be as unkind and offensive to others as they wish - and yet are extremely thin skinned when it comes to themselves and easily offended! Xx

To be fair, I've been guilty of using it but only in circumstances where some needs to be told they fucked up or they are being an idiot.

It might offend them intially but in the long run its often more offensive to not 'have a word'.
