I used to till it started taking over my life, lost my first relationship to it, every spare minute I had all I wanted to do was be on the golf course, was quite good at it too in the end my handicap was down to 5. Tried playing on holiday a few years back and im now total shite at it

Something I've never tried, I've never had an interest, but would give it a go, seems very relaxing and nicely paced.

Wow. I currently play off 4 but don't play as much as I want to! I find myself wanting to go a few times a week, just can't manage it!

I used to manage a golf club here in Edenbridge, I've got a few names for it now but I won't mention them.

I didn't play but had a few good lessons, in fact I've been talking about it a lot recently and I'm thinking about maybe using the winter months to have lessons again, I wasn't bad. I do miss the banter with the societies!! X

Yes I play and I am pretty good. I can hit it 220 yards with the driver and scored few pars and birdies. Mostly bogies

Love golf , got my self down from a 28 to an 18 over the summer , didn't think I would ever get better , but it truly is a game that the more you play the luckier you get , I call it a game of tragedy accompanied by the occasional miracle!

I also played the Celtic manor this year , and even though the round chewed me up and spat me out you are treated like royalty there and the coarse is truly beautiful .

Yes, tee to green I'm shit, soon as I'm on that green it becomes a different matter, if the game was called putting I'd be a major winner by now

I used to play golf ( and was a champion archer ) when I was a teenager but I tore a rotator cuff and I couldn't get the correct movement with the strength etc needed from my shoulder so, sadly, I can no longer do either.

I play golf, I play a lot and am what my mates class as a bandit, I can rip it up and then all of a sudden the wheels fall off and I can't putt for love nor money, I never thought I would play, thought it was boring, slow and a old persons game but I injured my leg and was laid up and the Ryder cup was on, from then I was hooked, bought a set of old pin seakers and hit the pitch and put as soon as I could walk again, found I enjoyed it and then went around the county playing as many two 4 one courses as I could, finally broke 100 and thought playing so many different courses is not really that good so I joined my local club, was given a handicap of 27 and in my first year got down to 22, was chuffed, have managed to get down to 14 and won a few medals and stableford comps, only wish I had started younger, played rugby from a young age and was quite good, wish I had started golf same age, woukd recommend it to anyone, it's the social side as well, play with all ages and have learnt loads from the old guys on my course management, still top it and fade it though lol

Yes we both play. Although wifey not so much now. Infact pre kids we did have a knee trembler on a course not far from us. She was bent over a tree to the side of the green.. One of the many stored in the wank bank lol.

However the best wood in my back is the pencil I use to mark my score card

Yes couple of times a week at least!

Got down to 6?last year but gone up one this 5bis lowest I've been.

Love it! Have an annual pilgrimage to St Andrews every year as well as various other trips away.

The most rewarding and frustrating game ever!

Well done! Keep up the good work. Celtic Manor is amazing. If you like playing at places like that, I'd recommend Stoke Park and Woburn.

I don't get it. I don't understand the rules/scoring and it really is like watching paint dry.

I'm currently having lessons at the local driving range. Only just started, but really enjoying it. Not been out to play on a course yet

It's a great course, as is the Faldo course near the airport.

I used to play, but being more more a cricketer, I'd end up cover driving the ball way off to the right

I gave up (a) after losing 14 balls by the 12th hole, having a strop and flouncing off the course and (b) after I left my ex, she had a garage sale and among one of the things of mine she got rid of was a very fine set of Wilsons
