Ah the benefits of being "home based"

Whilst I work out on the road the majority of every week my admin is done from the comfort of my own home so never any dramas

We have a clear desk policy too! I always have files on my desk.

They don't check our desk drawers though

I've always worked with a clear desk policy mainly because the stuff I work with is data protected and has to be locked away when not in use. I recently did a short contract in an office where I am still in denial about what I saw though, there were files everywhere.

My drawers were never locked because everything had to go into a cupboard with a combination lock (allegedly lol) so they would have found a selection of snacks in one, a selection of perfume, hand cream and face cleansers in another and a couple of pens lol.

I have to say that after a couple of days of me working there the clear desk policy was back working

My desk has (or had) confidential documents in it. No way they'd be allowed to check it...

Thank fuck!

Chams or Socials

We have a clear desk policy as we're meant to hot seat but it never happens!! I have pictures of the kids up & a huge pile of files on the floor as recently moved & no storage.

We have drawers but for our personal stuff so if not locked it's tough.

We have to swipe an ID card at 4 various barriers & doors to get into my office

Security used to come and remove laptops from desks if you left them unlocked overnight in one place I worked once. There was another where you weren't even allowed to hang your jacket over your chair, eat, drink coffee or charge your phone at your desk!
