Technical advice please

If I buy a tablet a Samsung,hudl or iPad can I watch films on it through my tv ? And if so how and which is the best to buy ?

Not sure, I think you can with all of them but it depends on your TV set up as to how. I can watch my TV on my iPhone on wifi through an app. Think they do it different ways but I'd say it is doable yes

I've got an ipad and you need an AV cable connector from it to plug it into the hdmi slot on your TV. Then you could stream Netflix or probably other TV or streaming services through the TV.

You can get a Google Chromecast device which plugs into your TV and then you can stream almost anything from your laptop or tablet/phone etc to your TV. They are only about £30.

You can on a hudl2 for def as long as your TV has hdmi inputs

Showbox tends to be the site that we stream films from and with a cable to connect them the TV mirrors the screen and sound from the hudl.

Given the price and reviews of a hudl we found it impossible to justify a more expensive tablet and been very satisfied although it is only used for browsing and viewing so it never needed to do much

I know you can buy an hdmi adapter for a few samsung phones so I imagine you can for their tablets too. You could get a device that's compatible with chromecast but then you need to buy a chromecast dongle. There are a few ways it can be done....

iPad and Is good but AV cable is 15 quid cheaper than the basic Apple TV

I use iPad 9.7 inches which is actual inches and not fab inches....that is big enough to do most things

My dad has an iPad mini and uses no problem it depends if you are just going to use it for films or other things

I can only talk about the xperia range - but that is because I have one. A feature of theirs is that if you have something on your phone you can send it to your tv to watch. Though as I don't have a Sony TV (and doubt I ever will), I don't know how easy it is to use

Hdmi cable is the best thing to connect with

Some tablets have a small hdmi slot and the tv has a big hdme slot

So you need a small to big converter...

You can buy one on Amazon for around 1 to 2 pounds x

The chrome cast is not compatible with the amazon fire tablet, which is a shame because it's an ace tablet in any other way.

If you get the chrome cast, you should be able to cast stuff from your smart phone, so if that's the main reason you want a tablet, you could save yourself a bob or two and just use your phone

As long as your TV has hdmi or USB ports it's dead easy to setup I have Amazon prime on my kindle and watch it on my TV
