They won't! The treatment from the young team will make Syria look like Pontins!

Bad choice of settlement.

Be interested to see if those refugees settled in the Hebrides are wildly keen. Lovely place to live but just a tad of a culture shock

Let's see how many of them get jobs

Woulf be interesting to see if these refugees who probably don't speak English can get a job when people in the U.K. That have lived here all their life can't

How do you know they can't speak english ?

How do you know they aren't educated ?

There is an assumption that all refugees are poorly educated people who lived a life working menial jobs in their homeland.

That be the case for some, but not for many others.

Can they really not get jobs or are they just refusing to do the jobs migrants and refugees will happily do? Got to live Murdoch and the media

Yes the jobs they do to provide us with food and textiles, don't see many in the UK doing these jobs.

What made me laugh was when people got on the band wagon as some of them had mobile phones, yes they are refugees- doesn't mean they're poor, they are trying to evacuate a country and seek refuge, hence known as refugees.

It's crazy opening our borders - terrorists pose as refugees to get into Britain and then cause devastation. These refugees have no background checks. I agree we should send them aid but letting 10,000 of them in will inevitably lead to disaster!

Not all refugees are terrorists. What happened in Paris is not commonplace, and we shouldn't be made to believe it is.

I didn't say they were all terrorists, that would be ridiculous! Letting 10,000 people into the UK to seek refuge with no background information though is crazy - they could be murderers, rapists, terrorists, who knows what kind of people they are letting in - two of the Paris suicide bombers were refugees!

this!

Lets not forget the Isis supporter claiming on facebook the they would rape our 13 year old daughters, breed us out & make us the minority!

Do we want to provide refuge to more of these animals?

Yes there are non terrorist refugees, I'm aware of this & its a shame for them. But I for one, would be welding those border gates closed! Look after our own.

I totally agree we should help the Syrian refugees but I also recognise the fact that IS will exploit the situation to get their people in position. Europes willingness to accept any and all has weakened us immensely And made us far more vulnerable to attack. How we solve the problem I don't know. We caused the problems in Syria, Iraq, Libya etc.

Sadly many believe everything they read / hear. The media, particularly social media is an excellent if sometimes inaccurate propaganda machine.

The vast majority are fleeing from the terrorists.

I think it is our duty as decent human beings to help people fleeing a situation that is likely more awful than we can begin to imagine.

Which two of the terrorists were refugees?

According to the reports I read today they were either Belgian or French nationals apart from one where they don't really know his nationality (although they know the route he took to get into Europe) because the passport they associated with him is a fake.

Do you think we should we stop tourists and businessmen coming into the country too? After all in any group of 10000 people there will be murderers, rapists and terrorists, so shouldn't we stop all foreigners from coming in? Then we'll be left with just our homegrown rapists, murderers and terrorists. Just like sadly it seems the French were.

So much this. The amount of stupid I have had to listen to today beggars belief. Two of my friends were in Paris on Friday, thankfully they're ok (physically at least) and they're now home. Yet I haven't heard either one say we shouldn't accept refugees.

What facts is there to back up the 99% that allegedly ok? We know nothing of their backgrounds & yet they get welcomed to the country, given homes, helped into employment, benefits & access to nhs treatment.

Try doing that in Syria or anywhere else & see what you get. A door slammed in your face would be the likely answer!

Those who welcome total chaos into this country are just so blind.

More security more new laws, hmm seems like a plan in motion.

The Art of War, such strategic game play in plain sight.

It's just my opinion - we also have too many homeless people on the streets, elderly people not getting the care they deserve, our NHS is in tatters and Cameron is about to let another 10,000 immigrants into the country to claim asylum. It's utterly bonkers! We spend £10.3bn on international aid to help people like the refugees, we are doing our bit

Yes we do have those problems. None of which are the fault of people fleeing for their lives. Let's hope the shoe is never on the other foot and we end up being the ones getting doors slammed in our faces and no one showing us compassion.

You're so right about Syria of course. If you went there you could be shot, blown up, gassed, tortured by the government's forces or any one of twenty other groups. There's no chance of them ever giving you a job or a hospital bed or benefits or anywhere safe to live. I can't think why anyone would want to run away from that, just as I can't think you'd ever go there and try it for yourself.

Can't actually say, as they're dead, so can't ask them. But if it was then that's not refugees coming into the country is it? Just proves it doesn't matter where you originate from it can happen, advancements in technology have helped with this to come about, maybe just remove technology that way no communication within these terrorist/hate websites can create attacks to be planned.

It's utterly bonkers! We spend £10.3bn on international aid to help people like the refugees, we are doing our bit

"

so does one assume that before the current refugee crisis you have been involved in helping the homeless and caring for the elderly that you describe..?

or is it just a glib soundbite to pad out your 'concern' about refugees..?

"Didn't the Greeks welcome a big wooden horse once ??

No they didn't."

Don't you love it when people try a smart metaphor and get it wrong.

It was the Greeks that built the horse for the "Gods" to leave for the Trojans.

"You wouldn't be saying that if the 0.1% moved in next door!

We need to keep our families safe...we are too soft in this country! We send more money to help these people than most!

Again, where are you getting this information? What facts have you got to back that up?

What facts is there to back up the 99% that allegedly ok? We know nothing of their backgrounds & yet they get welcomed to the country, given homes, helped into employment, benefits & access to nhs treatment.

Try doing that in Syria or anywhere else & see what you get. A door slammed in your face would be the likely answer!

Like I said before, look after our own.

Ok, so why are all the "refugees" heading to the UK? Because its a wonderful land with a booming employment sector? No, because its government is soft & they get a new life handed on a plate.

It could be the pleasant people they might meet here too.

So you're saying they won't be on these forums then? "

I can't see where I said that. There's no accounting for who is on the forums though.

Here's a thought for those that are all for these refugees coming to the UK.

Contact your local MP, tell them you wish to take in one of the family's. Pay for all their food, clothing etc.

Prove to us who disagree with allowing them in that we're wrong about them & I for one will apologise publically for doubting them.

If I had the room I would. If I had the finance I'd create room, but I don't. If they were to offer me a larger home so I could, then I would take it up.

Actually yes, this is the main reason why most migrants to Britain want to come here, it's got the best employment prospects in the whole of Europe.

"

No, because its government is soft & they get a new life handed on a plate.

"

Actually they don't. It's far easier to get housing and benefits in most of the rest of the EU and all of Western Europe than it is in Britain.

Interesting point. I wonder if the government would give you a large enough home like they will for them?

Yes I'm sure they will give them a 4 bed house for 3 person family. Now you're just being ridiculous.

"I didn't say they were all terrorists, that would be ridiculous!

So we shouldn't help 99.9% of those who need it, because 0.1% aren't genuine?"

That seems to increasingly be the American policy now. They're simply not prepared to take the risk.

So they pass through all the other safe countries to get a job in the UK? Because there's so many unfilled jobs here? When was the last time you visited a jobcentre & performed a jobsearch?

You've not seen the official immigration figures for the last year then? Up from around 300,000 the year before to around 350,000 now. Seems to be increasing year on year despite Camerons promises to cut it down to tens of thousands.

Yes we do have those problems. None of which are the fault of people fleeing for their lives. Let's hope the shoe is never on the other foot and we end up being the ones getting doors slammed in our faces and no one showing us compassion.

Well, that's about all the stupid and brainwashed I'm willing to tolerate for today. Good night to all the sensible people!"

I even forgot about this thread lol Poor Germans welcomed them with sweeties and flowers. Angela Merkel must be thinking "what the fuck have a done!"

The even more fucked up is only 25% of all those large crowds you saw were not Syrians, and a good amount were ISIS fighters
