What is with women at clubs and social meets?

Talk about cold stare down and hatchet face!! All Ive done is walked in the room!

I feel like saying don t worry hun I dont want you, but your man might.

I love swinging scene and met some great people but jeez some of the women need a slap on the back of the neck.

Been told I exude sexual energy. Really?

BO would be easier!

Any other women had similiar experiences.

Brighton - even Hove!

Sounds like you had a rather unpleasant few minutes at a club? If you have a vivid imagination, like me, you can easily deliberately misinterpret 'haughty chill' for 'winsome yearning' - it makes for a much more pleasant evening.

Did they actually do or say anything negative? Or just not give you the reaction you wanted/expected?

I can see I might end up being perceived as paranoid.

I am talking about a few women not the entire populus.

Oh, just sneer back. I do. A long slow look from feet to head and then a slow shaking of the head as I walk on by.

I'm not sure I'd use the word paranoid to describe you, but there a few others that spring to mind if it's just a few women. Do you expect everyone to fawn over you?

So to clarify, when you walk in to a room you expect everyone to acknowledge you?

I genuinely can't see the point you are offended by?

I can't see where she has said she's offended and I've read it twice, maybe I've overlooked it

At the very beginning of, my ill fated thread it seems now, my question was asking if any women had any similiar experiences. This is the kind of thing which guys don t notice.

Or maybe men (and most likely most women), are slightly more realistic and don't expect an entire club to acknowledge their arrival?

"Maybe they were feeling nervous."

This On 90% of the occasions I've been accused of being stuck up / up myself / bitchy it's because I was shy or felt uncomfortable. (The other 10% of the time I was just surrounded by tossers)

I see someone complaining and moaning in don't see anything about being offended but this is obviously your "bit between your teeth" thread for tonight so I will let you get on with it

I think I sometimes have bitchy resting face and am unaware of it.

I would say though that in a vanilla environment, I'd be very careful of telling people to smile. No one knows what's going on in people's lives, and someone could have depression so being told to cheer up will only make them feel worse.

And yes, I know that's not this example, I'm just highlighting the point

Someone once told me to cheer up, I looked like I was going to a funeral...when I was on the train on the way to my nan's funeral.

It was so ridiculous it did actually cheer me up a bit
