Good places to go? ....to eat, shop, walk, steal from bins? All depends on your mood and taste, etc. Get a street map and explore. LOTS and LOTS to explore.

Plenty of cool things to do, whatever your interests. Northern Quarter is cool for indie style bars etc, spinning fields for nice bars too, or google for clubs, hobbies etc. Or use apps / services for meeting new people, networking or whatever too, if that's on your list of priorities. Plenty of fun to be had in Manchester!

Manchester

Food: loads to choose from but if you're after quick & easy Home Sweet Home in NQ. Great burgers and cake to DIE for. Prepare to queue!

Drink: loads of choice again but Gullivers and Castle are good, although Gullivers lost something in the refurb. Bar Fringe is good too.

Music: Night & Day, Soup Kitchen, Ruby Lounge.

Cinema: Home is great for stuff you don't get in the multiplex

The best place to start is to look at the listings in City Life and take it from there...

Manchester is fun.

Oxford road vibrant and youthful try an abduls kebab

Northern quarter tib street and aflecks palace unusual emporiums

Canal street mad mayhem

Lots of great pubs without spending a fortune like peveril on the peak and dukes 92 great in summer.

Enjoy it all its a great place with friendly folk.
