I didn't know it was on, I have the film, that was excellent, really well acted and believable.

Still based on the same characters?

That lad was meant to be about 12 in the film I think, it's good to watch them grow overtime, I'll have to catch up with it all when I get the chance.

I remember the film had the scene when the skin head kicks the black lad to pieces, can't remember if he killed him, was he in the series?

Just watched it,i went to glastonbury in 95 it was the hottest ever.oasis headlined but i just went and watched all the punk bands

Apart from it being called this is England 90 and I've met the actress who plays loz and loving the scooters in it.

Not watched tonight's but watched the film and other series. It's gritty viewing and uncomfortable to watch at times but it's drama. Makes you think tho cos it was based on the writers experiences, just exactly what some kids go thro in life.

Growing up in the 80s was the start of the ska scene and fights with the leather jacket biker types at school. The mods were on our side as well.

Then you had the school on school fights.

Then as we got scooters back in the day we had to contend with the Cornwall Scorpio a local hells angels group that didn't like mods or scooters
