Who remembers these, big "fuck off" aerials at the top of houses or in the back garden, did you have one, what was your handle?

Heh,yes dipoles and beams and mobile and homebase.

I was Badger, the other half was Foxy Lady.

I recently bought a vehicle with one in and have left it in there.

Now and then go up and down through the channels to see if anyone still uses them and can heat distant chatter.

Mine was Pet shop girl, coz i liked the pet shop boys. My best mate was called Blondie and i remember her having an argument with someone else called Blondie who told her she had to be called Blondie 2 she told her to fuck off...

It was a good way to meet guys our age (13) or have old men sexually harass us.

I remember some old man used to just sing songs over the air waves. We used to chat to him and have a laugh with him, he never harassed us.

still got one just waiting to get an aerial suitable for my truck

they are used alot by tipper drivers and in quarrys to keep intouch but the advent of mobile phones and texting/internet has killed it off

handle still is peanuts

There's a few apps you can download to

Pick up a few truckers. Police. And shipping but never heard any local cbs in cars for years

I loved my cb radio when I was a teenager.

No mobile phones in those days so the cb radio was my means of communication with friends
