'New Women'

Does anyone use the Quick Links to search?

Recently I've seen alot of women complaining that they've been on the site for 10 mins and have been swamped with random meet requests.

Why can't we remove them to let site newbies do the searching, take their time?

Has this ever put a reletive newcomer off using the site or anyone from contacting someone who already has 100 messages to wade through?

It's a trade off between joining ther site and getting started asap for most people and allowing shy noobs a little time to aclimatise.

I'd say most want to get stuck in asap and as the shy noobs are in the minority the site has to cater for the majority.

When I first joined the site the amount of mail and whispers in chat was so overwhelming I almost deleted my profile after a few days.

It was only through a more experienced member offering advice and guiding me through it and all the pitfalls that I stayed.

I think it would be nice if people read chatroom and forum rules and allowed 'newbies' time to settle in.

Sometimes it's like sharks circling fresh meat in chat when a new female arrives on the scene.

When I first joined, I think I lasted a week and then I deleted my profile as I just had far too many emails coming in and I did feel like fresh meat!!

So sometimes, guys let them settle in a bit first, then you can attack lol

with chat, its generally whoevers showing the most flesh that gets the most attention.

I can't comprehend how many messages women get on here though - even not as newbies, I'm not sure I could be bothered to do with it!

overwhelming perhaps, but the only thing worse than being popular...is not being popular!

think some of those women would have complained about the lack of interest if they got none.

no right answer to this one!

Some people will winge about anything. So what if you get lots of mail. If you have any sense you get around to going through it when it suits you and in your own good time. Most is pretty straight forward anyway - no thank you to all those who dont read your profile, easy!

Oh I can make it easier still: have on your profile you won't answer messages that don't meet your criteria. Therefore, when invariably you get a message from someone who hasn't read your profile, delete without a second though!

Also see alot of 'Have deleted all my messages - just too many to read'.

It doesn't really endear them to me. Delete them by all means, but reading about it puts me off bothering them - is that the reason?
