Can the established folk here please enlighten me on why this is. Ideally posts from people who do not meet Asians would be insightful.

many people seem to have had bad experiences with Asians, recurring theme primarily being a lack of respect and this is sufficient to stereotype millions of people from dozens of countries.

Obviously people have also had bad experiences with caucasians but for reasons I don't fully understand the same logic doesn't apply

We mainly have Pakistanis here when it comes to "asians" due to historical links etc, problem is Pakistan 's culture is not best known for its respect of women.

I think its their 'definition' of respect that may be up for question. Do they respect their women when they treat them as second class citizens and don't give them equal rights to men?

You are right in that their culture seems to be built on respect but for me it seems to be applied inconsistently

It's not on our profile but I shel am not attracted to Asian men. Paul is attracted to Asian woman.

People often have types. The same way some will say they only like slim woman, am I offended, nope

It takes all sorts. My usual preferences are I like bald men or tall white men with dark hair. Why? I don't know it's just what attracts me

I once saw a profile that said "no blokes in frocks",,,,,

Can you imagine the feeling of pain and hurt I experienced....... I felt so ashamed .... so rejected.....

.....

In-fact...... felt so bad I started to sing..... I even found myself making up my own words to well known songs

First I was afraid I was petrified. to think that I was not good enough to be by their side.....

I spent so many nights feeling sorry for myself..... but I survived..... yeah-yeah...... I sur-----vi----ved..... hey-hey,,,,,,

I know everyone is jumping on the OP but I totally get where he is coming from. I know Asian guys on here can have a hard time. It seems to be more widespread than no whites or no blacks too. Everyone has preferences but it seems asian men are all lumped into one and seen as too persistent or lack respect for women. That's not been my experience BTW if anything I've found them to be very respectful.

Different people are attracted to different types though. From a looks POV I get that they won't be everyone's cup of tea though.

I don't entertain Asian men because my experience of them is that, generally, they are disrespectful and don't take no for an answer. I know there will be exceptions as there are anywhere but that's my rationale.

It's very, very simple really. If you're not attracted to Asian guys you're going to put it on your profile. Apparently it saves wasting each other's time.

Interesting thread ....

Each to their own I say but from the conversations I've had with single Asian males on here they do feel hard done by . I have noticed the no Asian males on plenty of profiles including some of those people who message us ?? lol.

We have stated a preference for Asian couples on our profile but don't rule out other ethnicities .

Even outside the fab world Asian guys do not have the best reputation and I can vouch for that firsthand but not everyone is the same as people have already pointed out.

personal preferences aside...

it is the generalization of any person that does my tits in.

I've seen some very stunning/handsome asian men and woman on fab and out and about.

To be honest 'NO ASIANS' ,is squarely intended to men of that race..so the women should ignore it(having a fanny works for almost any race)

Lets all be honest though..its pretty much common knowledge there are people who wouldnt want to associate with asian people via blatant ignorance or racism..indeed it might also be because of incompatible cultural identity.

As a mixed race black guy, I grew up in glasgow among white people..and I felt mostly excluded from peoples sexual preferences, namely it just being down to being a 'darky'. Roll on 15-20 years its the in thing to be black(though I'm not quite 'black' enough' for some).

I really hope the whole racial nonsense stops especially regarding asians, and those people who are 'excluded' from a scene thats supposedly promoting openness and tolerance*

*my point about the openness and tolerance really depends on how you play on the scene, I'd wager my guess that many who have the NO ASIANS/BLACKS/GAYS/BI's(once they find out the sexuality) on their profile might not even be that friendly to people they bump into in social gatherings etc..

The thing about sexual attraction is that it has nothing to do with political correctness.

A person many have questionable or even sinister motivations behind their statement or simply feel no attraction, in the same way a hetro-sexual feels no attraction for the same sex.

So when I stumble on a profile that says no asians, blacks, no single guys, no short guys etc etc I don't feel a need to dwell on in in any way, I have never seen it said rudely on anyones profile so I just more on.

In social interaction, I try my very best not to judge anyone by any preconceptions.

In sex, I am attracted by what I find attractive. I really do not care whether someone perceives that as some sort of bias. I do not expect to be attractive to everyone and I certainly do not expect everyone to be attracted to me.

Yep agreed! From what we have seen there are a few Asians (usually not born/raised in UK) that can be annoying and look at women like they've never seen women before but you get these in any race/form. As a couple we are very open minded. We get a lot of messages from couples who say "no Asians" on there profile. The women is usually bi and the guy looks like jabba the hut, we just have a laugh and ignore them as there usually the types we wouldn't play with.

True, we have met two Asian girls from here but it seems to be very discreet, the problem we found is in the Asian community everyone knows everyone hence the reason we travel 40 miles (minimum) out to clubs. Also the majority of people whatever race are nice and genuine. I can't comment on single males but am guessing it's much harder to make friends and progress in swinging.

I'm white Christian, but ended up in Oldham in a Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Muslim school.

I still keep in touch with some of my old Asian pals, but to those left winger PC types, we are NOT all the same!

Their culture sees women as second class, which in civilised England I find disgusting.

England has white/Christian peado's... but not gangs of them like we have seen in towns such as Oldham, Rotherham etc... Their up bringing differs so much to the Western world

You are right however if the reasons for your preference are unfounded stereotyping of an entire vast group of people simply on the perceived actions of a tiny tiny minority of them then you also have to be prepared for people to suggest that your choices are fatuous and your reasoning utter codswallop.

You may hold whichever _iew you like, however publicising your _iews means that people are within their rights to criticise or even openly mock if your opinions are demonstrably nonsense.

Never judge a persons personality by the colour of their skin, you may not find Asians attractive but what if one messages you abs he doesn't look Asian..? Green or blue eyes, light skin and you think they are attractive, after chatting to them they tell you they are actually of Asian decsent, would you say "sorry I don't meet Asian men"

I agree that attraction is a big part on here but surely the way a person looks is what matters.... Not his ethinicity..? You find someone attracive but then wouldn't meet him because you think he's going to be disrespectfful because "all Asians are disrespectful"... I do get where the OP is coming from

I moved to the West Midlands from London a few years ago and have been pretty shocked how much hostility there is towards Asian men in this part of the country. I get that you may have a preference for a particular physical type, I don't like overweight bald men for exsmple, but to exclude a whole race seems pretty racist to me to be honest and is stereotyping a huge number of people. I've never found Asian men I've met to be disrespectful, they've been physically fit, attractive and fun to be with. I was invited to a swingers house party once and was going to bring a very nice Asian guy with me. I checked with the host if that was ok, as I'd seen the 'no Asian men' thing on some people's profiles on here and the host said, no, don't bring an Asian guy as women don't like it. I've not been back to that party since as I don't feel comfortable being around people with such narrow minded attitudes. We are all different and unique!

By all means you can question me. But that is not what the original post is about. I am stating what I have seen. Maybe others have seen differently to me.

okay... so since you only want to meet women is it okay to ask you why you don't meet men...

because i am guess your answer to that (which is likely to be "because i don't find them attractive") is going to be the same answer to why some people won't meet asians...."

Our issue has never been about people's preference, it's more about the stereotype people hold that the Asian men treat women like 2nd class citizens, Asian women nowadays are very demanding! Lol if anything it's the Asian men that are being treated like 2nd class

Hey its just another badly thought out request but having said that women and couples do get so many messages that it is a way of reducing them in the same way as putting an age range of course by doing it you are going to miss out on a few that you would be totally suited to but everyone on here bypasses someone like that ,you can't possibly tell a person's personality from a text message even if they messaged you for weeks ,no substitute for meeting in the flesh and the way I look at it its just another filter to reduce the already ridiculous amount of messages that women and couples get that they can't possibly process effectively

I don't think that someone from Japan would think they are from the same culture as someone from Bangladesh. I don't think they would automatically assume anything in common whatsoever with them. Asian is a virtually useless term to define someone as Asia is by far the biggest land mass on the planet and contains everything from Northern Russian Steppes to Indonesian and Philipino islands in the south.

Too many people basing their preferences and opinions on what they see with 'certain' people on the streets or what the tabloids say.

We are a South Asian Couple and get contacted lots by profiles saying 'no Asians'. We tend to avoid these people and what we think it really means is that we fancy Asian women but not men. If expanded in their profiles it is usually due to a bad experience etc etc.

I do think it is narrow minded if you have such a mindset and we'd be reluctant to meet with such people.

I mean there are plenty of white British Paedophiles and white British wife beaters and many such people from the black community too. It would be ridiculous to suggest that these people reflect the majority of you!
