Sorry OP, got sidetracked.

There's no answer tbh.

A broken heart hurts like hell but it will mend in time.

Give into it and don't be afraid to have a good ole cry, get in contact with friends & arrange a few nights out, keep your mind off it being busy.

Ive been brokenhearted too and it bloody hurts like hell.

Personally, I think its because even though we pretend we dont feel emotion or have feelings towards people, they develop and creep up on us without us knowing, because we are so caught up in the first few weeks of the "relationship", I use inverted commas as relationships here, if its here you are referring to, dont like emotions or feelings.

I hope you dont stay broken hearted too long.

Breaking up is painful. When you feel it's about to happen you just get this deep hollow pit feeling in your stomach and your limbs tingle and go cold...

I'm so confused and hurt. I did the best I could... I guess it was not enough...

Course it's painful, you're rattling round with a set of habits meant for two people, shits gonna remind you of that person, you'll question everything about yourself and if you did anything wrong or if it could've been prevented, you'll have denial that it's actually ending you'll have hope that it will be ok, might make yourself look like a dick head by doing crazy things if it wasn't you that initiated the split (can still hurt if you're the dumper but I've had no experience of that, only the dumpee and I think we get the worst of it!)

It's a massive cliche but time does eventually heal.

Not sure why it hurts to lose someone. We miss them that's all, we was looking for ward to something else and it didn't happen.

Just split with someone myself and was really hurting until i looked at the situation differently and saw it for what it was. Now i can see the positives from not being with him. Has taken me less than 3 weeks to get over him, bit when i feel sad i focus again on the positives and the truth and feel stronger.

Usually it just takes time if it was something worth losing.
