Probably because being turned down as a friend is even more humiliating than being turned down for sex.

There are lots of people on the forums, many on this thread, male and female I'd love to meet up with for a beer or lunch.

I wouldn't dream of naming names.

Rejected for sex I can live with. Being rejected for a social beer? That's depressing........

I'd hate to guess the number of beer/coffee offers you've had now.

I'm still fairly new here so don't know anyone well enough yet but there is one guy who I chat to quite a bit about anything and everything and never gets sexual (which I have to say is lovely!) x (having said that I don't think he uses the forums!)
