"Motivated by a catalogue I was reading earlier, where one of their products was spider repellent, it got me wondering why people find these eight leggity beasties so unappealing? Whilst I don't like the thought of being bitten by one (or pretty much any animal for that matter), personally I find spiders interesting rather than scary, I don't even like destroying their webs when cleaning." Spiders are harmless! I lived in the Amazon rainforest for almost a year and on a daily basis I would see tarantulas bigger than my hand and wondering spiders all walking in and around camp. Wondering spiders are one of the most poisonous spiders in the world. The only injury I see involving a spider in all my jungle time, was a biologist panic after seeing a very large spider walking up her leg, she brushed it off running her fingers accross the blade of her machete! It was about a 3 hour hike back to camp, 4 hours down river and another 6 by car to the nearest town (if you could call it a town)

I'm ok with with spiders in general but the bigger ones where you can see their fangs do make me scream if they land on me, Lol. I'd be no good in the jungle for sure!

"My cats decided to play with one in the night, it was in many bits on the living room floor. I can't stand them so they get squashed or sucked up the hoover in this house too. I have found conkers help. Putting them on windowsill, under the bed and in the corners of the rooms helps to keep them away. And peppermint spray is supposed to be good too. " Conkers do work i cant stand the little sumtimes fucking huge eight legged beasts placed few conkers around last yearand this year havent seen one so far Goood times
