Gotham is interesting. True detective is brilliant (ive only seen the first series so far) I would highly recommend that.

Lie to Me is really good, as is Black Sails.

Not watched any of the first two but I'll give a second vote to the other two, ....

Thou if ya want a critique ; the cgi on black sails was a bit meh, and the kiddy in lie to me , plays a little fast and loose with the cockney accent

I also liked Orphan Black.

Downton Abbey - which I totally thought I'd hate!

24

West Wing I started but not finished.

Have the Sopranos and Breaking Bad to start.

Greys Anatomy rocks but perhaps a bit girly?

Chicago Fire too.

Criminal Minds!!!

Stalker... liked this too... next series is about to start I think.

Reruns of Prime Suspect/Wire in the Blood/The Vice/Rebus... all good.

Life.

US cop show starring Damien Lewis as a cop sent to jail for 12yrs for murdering his partner and family. Has released when new evidence is found which clears him and he re-joins the LAPD to find the people who set him up.

It o my ran for two seasons but it was absolutely brilliant.

Falling Skies is very good as is the strain (both already mentioned)

Comedy - third Rock from the Sun if you never watched it first time (although looking a little dated now)

Dark matter

Dusk till dawn (Netflix only)

Sense 8 (another Netflix only)

However one series you must see is..... American Horror!

Well...just watch West Wing again.

I try to at least once a year although Fab has been getting in the way recently.

All 7 seasons should fill your 10 days nicely.

Just getting into The Following too.
