Anyone know if there's a site setting, to prevent intentional punctuation turning into unwanted emoticons ?

Annoying when it happens (would turn emo's off, if I could)

Not as far as I'm aware.

Try posting a little slower, or using the 'preview message' function (just down there) first.

Forum posts are previewable but there's no preview for replying to private messages.

I always proof-read what I write but it it is still easy to miss an unpredictable emo.
