I can understand it. With many larger women, feminine features like breasts and bums are enhanced. If men could choose between a 32b and a 36d, I think I know which would usually win.

I think in many cases it's a bit of a fetish or something to tick off their 'bucket list'.

A lot of these guys probably wouldn't want to date a bigger woman but fucking one on the quiet is deemed acceptable.

I think its a number of different things. To some it might just be a personal preference.

Some men don't have 'types'.I don't as to me its more about the individual hence I have met older/younger/slimmer/curvier.

Without wishing to offend, there is also the issue of ratio of guys to girls. Whilst I appreciate some guys can be fussy, not all can.

Magazines do not portray a real picture of any woman. I saw a really cool spot the difference pic on Twitter and the celebrity (can't remember who it was) had shown the actual pic and the cover version. It looked like too different people.

Young girls aspire to be these women they see in pics but that isn't what they look like. Women have this forced image thrust upon them and forget who they are in search of this perceived notion of what natural good looks are. Some men such as myself aren't as shallow and enjoy the company of ladies for who they are not what they are.

It's convention that tells us what we should find attractive.

The fact is we are all wired differently and all have different triggers for attraction.

I often think that those larger folk who question it actually have the issue with their size rather than other people having the issue.

There are some (not all, obviously) men on here who see bigger women as an easy target. I'm basing this on the fact that whenever there is one of those "women on here are so up themselves" threads, weight always gets mentioned in the context of why they shouldn't have such high opinions of themselves.

Honestly? I'd say one of 3 things.

If they act like that then they don't really like it, or they'll just fuck anything. And that's not me being nasty to the women here but saying the guy is a dumb shit and best to be avoided if you wanna keep any kind of self esteem (unless you're ok with this kind of stuff). Sex addicts will often fuck anything and enjoy it, then feel ashamed later, this is more complicated but they need to sort themselves out.

There's also a fair bit of shaming done to fat people and the people who fuck them, if he's this kind of guy then he's got issues he needs to sort out before approaching bigger women, coz it's not fair on them.

Or they're married maybe and just don't wanna be seen with any women.

My fat is definitely over my slim.

I think there is a minority of men who treat meeting fat women as a fetish. I met a man a few years ago who told me I wasn't big enough to class myself as ample and he expected more. I know some men who "make allowance" for fat in order to get the boob size they want.

I prefer to meet the people who find me as attractive as I find them and where my size is incidental.

I have never been small, I have bounced (excuse the pun) between a 18 and 28 and im currently a 24/26.

I think it all comes down to confidence and how you dress...I used to be that shy size 16 fat girl in the floaty dress hiding behind the DJ box, since joining Fab, I have a new found confidence. I wear tight pencil skirts to show off my big bum and fitted tops which clings to the bust...I walk in the room with my head held high and even though I'm the same size, I get lots more attention.

I think that's about as honest as it gets

I've lost count of the amount of guys who mail me with compliments but as soon as I say no thanks the truth comes out and they tell me I'm fat and tell me they didnt want to meet me anyway etc

To be fair I think you have been given some quite constructive comments, sometimes you may post something and the comments back are sometimes not what you want to hear, I guess that is the nature of the beast when posting in a public forum. You will always get those that post for a reaction or those who are childish but all in all there is often some valuable comments. Welcome to the forums a thick skin and broad shoulders often help.

I dont need anyone to tell me im beautiful or ugly, too fat or whatever. I do not feel crappy about myself. Things are what they are.

All i asked is why the 'fit' men would go for big women. The majority of comments were really insightful but then you get the few self absorbed people who just want to put people down. This makes me angry and frustrated and takes away from the original question

Hijacks happen all over the place. It's a public forum and you can't dictate how people respond.

Lots of people read down only until they get to a comment that makes them want to reply, as has happened here. Still people are picking on Daniel's comment because they haven't read his explanation. If they'd read the whole thread, they'll have seen what he meant.

Threads go off on tangents and when you pick an emotive topic such as weight, people become defensive because they feel they want to stick up for themselves. I don't give a shit what people weigh, if they're a nice person I'm drawn to them. Lots of other people will find different things attractive.

What's not attractive is aggressive, arsey behaviour towards people when they're just trying to help. You can feel patronised all you want, you're in charge of your feelings but it's clear to a lot of us that MissCheekyChops was merely trying to help. It's clear because we know she's lovely. If you stick around then you'll get to know her too. You just need to change it up a gear and accept that not everyone will say what you want to hear. Only you can deal with that appropriately.

Once you have posted your OP you have no control over the direction it goes after you hit the post button. Saying that, you have done a pretty good job yourself in steering it towards the 'you seem rude and agressive' tone it has now taken

Maybe you should have posted it in the swingers advice room rather than the lighthearted Lounge, you may have got more of what you demanded from it!
