They do it under local and with a pressure cuff on your upper arm to minimise the blood flowing to the hand. It means you get a quicker recovery and less risk as anaesthetics aren't risk free. Also means they can check your hand movement soon after they've finished. Happy to answer any questions you have but I would recommend speaking to your surgeon/consultant if you're really nervous. | |||

"I had electric shock therapy but I still have it and it's horrible " I've had electro therapy for it too about 8 years ago. I get cramps and pains every now and then but not that much since. So glad i changed from working in a busy call centre. | |||

"Anyone ever had surgery for this? What was your recovery time and did it work? " Lyn had both wrists operated on at the same time. Two weeks off (during Wimbledon) and she has been fine since. Worked really well and only very small scars. Good luck! | |||
