my brill pal(gorgeous too), is pregnant and having a girl..she asked me during the week for name suggestions..

I said Erin, but her pals daughters called that..

Today i thought Vanessa, as I texted her tonight I then thought of Vanessa Feltz. My pal texted back saying it made her think of Feltz, though she loves the name vanessa..

I'm thinking her child or others wont care as nobody will really care who vanessa feltz is or was a bit later in the future lol

I like names which can be shortened, but where the child is actually named the full name. Like Ellie is not a name, it's short for Eleanor. Ditto Beth, Liv, Mia and so on.

I also quite like some traditional Welsh names but since I live in England I don't think I'd inflict a lifetime of people being unable to pronounce or spell it on a child.

Flower pot or chateauneuf du pap just doesn't cut it anymore.

Have a look out for lost names. There's a website I think that lists diminishing names from the past.
