Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I hate birthdays.

I lack the emotional maturity to come to terms with my own mortality and therefore resent the annual reminder.

Usually I don't make a big deal, but this year I feel is a special year because of everything that has changed in my life, and it's the first time I've felt like my life has direction and purpose

surely that's something to celebrate, I was 50 this year, big celebrations, celebrating that God knows how I got this far and I also see it as the second chapter of my life has just begun and new adventures, sad!y I seem to be using it as an excuse for new ventures when I should of been doing them years ago

I think diamondsmiles, that it does not matter when you go on ventures, as long as you go on them I'm glad you're taking the opportunity and I wish you well. Speaking of which, have you had your gilf cherry popped?
