What makes you reply? (Women)

When you get a message from a single guy, obviously you check out the profile first, then if you like what you see, you read the message, but, what has to be in the message that makes you hit the reply button?

I've deleted a load of messages out my sent box cause they where sat unread, some as old as 2 weeks, oh and not interested in the "women get 100s of messages a day" not interested in that, just what makes them reply to the messages they do read.

The profile and pics of course - then the message should hopefully amuse me in some way, even make me chuckle

I will reply to any message if I like the profile/pics......whether we continue chatting would depend on the content of subsequent messages. Initial messages matter not as far as I'm concerned......but if you have a shit profile you'll only get a response if I like your message

In this order:

The amount of messages i have affects who i will reply to. If i have loads then it's likely to only be people i already enjoy talking to.

Who messaged me. If fb then they get a reply, maybe not straight away if they aren't looking for a fuck right now and i am. People i chat to regularly get prioritsed unless i'm looking for a fuck then it's people i wanna fuck prioritised. People i'm interested in meeting get replies too.

Randoms:

Attractiveness to me, based on looks and messages, and how local they are and if we're likely to meet.

Anyone with the same fetishes as me. I enjoy talking about them.

After that i still only chat to guys i fancy, in case we're ever gonna meet, but they're interesting and fun to talk to.

I don't care too much about their profile but they have to have pics, and their message be of interest to me.

I reply to almost all messages. They're likely to get a flat out 'no' if they've not read my profile though (or if they think they're special).

I'm always polite, but often wondered if a crude message would work better?

I usually take it that if my message is unread a couple of days after sending it and that person has been online since, then I'm not what they're looking for, I'd never send a second message.

Crude messages are likely just to make me block them without a reply.

I don't check their profile first, I/we respond to as many as possible.

The funny/quirky/different ones are the ones that stand out more

If someone has not read our profile and/or are totally not what we are looking for, then they have ignored there manners and politeness by messaging me, so why should I reply.

Always reply to messages that have obviously read the profile and who have some info about themselves.

This alone is a rarity.

Grantham

I reply to all my messages.

It's hard to say for sure but a good first message should be more than "how r u hun" and should also indicate somehow that my profile has been read. I don't bother with code words or anything. I can tell.

It should also include a nice face pic. Messages that include "sorry about the crap pics" give the sense of someone who can't make an effort.

No references to sex in the first message and no negativity.

I just want to add that there's loads of guys i'd still love to talk to on here but i just can't reply to everyone. Sometimes it's not the guys fault he doesn't get a reply.

The ones that are written interestingly, with humour, and/or have nice profile descriptions and pics (not cock shots) get more attention from me..

but.....I like to reply to everyone that has taken time to message me, I think its only polite, even if its a no thanks.

The exception to that is initial messages of three words or less, nope...not wasting my time replying....

Firstly if they have put my code word in the subject heading I know they've at least scanned my profile enough along with the (love or hate asked for) face pic, then I will read the message and nine times out of ten I will reply.

It they have sent me a message that doesn't look copied and pasted and is more than three words, I'll message back, funny messages normally will get a reply straight away!!

There has to be that 'something' for me x

Sometimes U.K

If it's a message of no effort or thought and less than 5 words, i usually don't make the effort to reply either.

If it's a humourous 'subject title' then I'll have a read and reply, maybe before checking out the profile.

Really all depends on what kind of delicious mood I'm in

Any that show they've actually read my profile as opposed to just getting excited over my pics

Prime example for an instant delete from me. You guys want a polite woman so ensure you're polite too. I treat people how I'm treated. Those who obviously haven't read my profile are instantly deleted.x

Having something to reply to, like an interesting question or a suggestion. I find it difficult to respond to closed messages where there's nothing to go off, unless there's something about the writer that appeals to me and I want to ask something in return.

The majority of messages I send to locals introducing myself and trying to catch their attention or interest tend to either get ignored or get a 'thanks but no thanks' reply but go no further.

But when I send a PM to someone either on the forums or someone local about their status update or some other random bobbins, (but not particularly looking for a meet) they tend to send a nice polite reply ...

Go figure?
