I don't go to weddings. They're not my thing.

Which is rough, considering I indirectly write about weddings for a living.

This year a big fat zero. I'm at that age now where most friends settled, a decade ago it was a wedding every other week

It's been a cheap Summer

It does tend to be friends children now as those of my generation are either married or settled with no intention of getting married

Chams or Socials

I've not been to 1 for 4 years now - they only lasted 14 months.

We're all too busy getting divorced so give it a few years & there may be an influx of 2nd (or 3rd) weddings from friends

I try and avoid them at all costs.

Of those I have been to, two stand out.

One was my sisters. It was her and her fella plus me and a common friend.

Had the ceremony and then went home to do the garden.

The other was a friends, who had a brief ceremony, a meal for family and close friends in a nice pub and then all back to theirs for Domino's in the evening

I can cope with them

hehe been to funeral this year

dont go to them usually, only friends ones that are like my family.

i dont go to weddings very often either...wont go to ones i don't agree with, and i am not invited, by 'blood' family..mainly because they are frightened i might cause a riot..and upset their ring of bullshit, with some truths

Went to 2 this year, one of them ours.

Ours wasnt traditional at all and we had it over 2 days. Our wedding day was very intimate with our nearest and dearest and we had a meal at our favourite restaurant then we spent the rest of the afternoon in bed

The next day was a crazy party for 200people

I'm not a fan either. If I ever got married, there would be no wedding.

One of my mates just got engaged and she's made reference several times to a puffy peach bridesmaids dress.

Is it considered rude to refuse to be a bridesmaid? I can't actually think of much worse (except perhaps being the bride) and I've told her she can think again but it's all been very jokey from both sides. I'm actually deadly serious... there's no danger but I can't be sure if she's serious.

Cannot stand weddings. Occasionally I go to one to photograph it, but generally my friends don't invite me because they know that I'm not really into the whole marriage thing.

Might at some point have a civil partnership for tax reasons when they allow it, but I'd never get married.

The last one I went to was a year ago, all my friends have been married for years and noones children have got married yet.

My son and his fiancee are thinking about marriage and I hope that's in a few years. I have always said that I will have a pair of louboutins and a huge hat

One, mine, in Las Vegas, in an Elvis wedding chapel ... the marriage didn't last, but it was an experience. In my opinion, the best place to get married

I love weddings. One of the last ones i went to was my own, that was a couple of years ago.

It was wonderful, we had a brilliant time. Had the ceremony in a registry office then went pub for dinner then a hotel close to home for the night and a day out the next day was lovely and so perfect for us, our children were part of it too

My brother gets married in August - he booked it for the weekend I'm in Edinburgh for my dad's 60th (we have different dads) so moved it to week before. It's vintage themed so I'm going to get my hair properly done with the curls & have seen a fabulous pair of Louboutins I'm treating myself to for my 40th in April.
