For all those living on the streets in this weather...

The church near me was collecting spare blankets and soup today.

I dont go but the vicar there is brilliant. does a cracking job.

Was pleased to help as i know i wouldnt last a night in this weather.

Bolton

Yes, I agree, some people are there through no fault of their own, we donated a ton of furniture, books and toys this week to a charity that looks after homeless people. There for the grace of god and all that. Z

A little kindness and a mug of soup go along way when times are hard .

feel for the homeless at all times of year but more when its cold, but the churches do make me laugh, they are the biggest landowners in the uk, but most churches, halls etc are locked at night, yet they tell us we should do more, we sometimes have enough trouble keeping a roof over our own heads

Thats true enough.

The churches could easily lock the gold away and open their doors .

There are many church buildings sitting empty all over the country. (unused church halls) . boy scout huts... etc.

These should be used in weather like this .

Its disgusting in 2010 that people are still on the streets and yes i accept that some want to be there . But there are many that dont and have no choice.
