I personally hate my mummy tummy so go out of my way to keep it covered. I'm sure we all have bits of us we are self conscious about. So I always wonder if you are with someone and you know they feel like that, would you go out of your way to appreciate that part and try to reassure or would you ignore it because you don't want them to feel uncomfortable?

I have 2 scars after 2 operations in 2013. One looks like a c section it goes straight across and in a very obvious place. I met one guy who accused me of lying about not having kids when he saw it so it made me very self conscious of it. It's taken me abit of time to be comfortable with it. The first time my fuckbuddy took me to chams I wouldn't get changed to start with as I didn't want people seeing it. He always tells me not to worry about it he doesn't notice it so I shouldn't

Oh my mum tum gives me a hard time! Doesn't want to be discreet, always makes an appearance when I try and cover it nicely, so we had words!! Told it, let me cover you and then everyone gets some fun, ill be happy and you can come out too!

As I've told a good close friend she has many a scars due to an accident when she was younger and felt really self concious but I love scars, they tell a story be it childbirth, a riding accident, they are nothing to be ashamed of or hide worthy. Brace them - they are only a teenie part of you don't let them influence how you live. my mum tum and thighs are ones I hate about myself (I have p on my inner thighs and trying to explain my flare ups to people who don't want to catch it(not infectious)) puts me off meeting anyone.

I've got a scar going across my left eye from being glassed, grown my fringe over the years to cover it but still feel a bit self conscious of it if I'm with a new guy and he sits on my left, I'll always swap places so he's on the right and cover my eye with my hair!

Mum tums are natural and nobody should be ashamed of having one at all!

Everyone is who they are, we all have imperfections and I like to take people as they come, warts and all.

Nobody is perfect and the sooner everyone stops comparing themselves to the media 'ideal' (which, let's be honest, tends to get airbrushed to death in magazines etc) the better!

I have a scar right down the side of my nose from having MOHs surgery. I'm aware of it but it doesn't bother me like it did when it was first done. I'm not sure anyone would notice it now.

I hate my extra chins but I can do something about that when I get off my lazy fat arse.

Otherwise I'm quite comfy in my skin.

I agree we all have hang ups. And it's always nice when someone takes time to reassure sensitively.
