Indicative of the human race

Occasionally I come across what I call nice people is this site.

Don't all go shouting at one, it's an NSA sex site.

(I'm not a sensitive person and can give as good ask get )

Yes I know it is, but I am finding that respect is very rare on here

Yes there is the block button and I could ignore these people, but then they're going to be horrible to someone else.

What are other forumites opinions?

I wouldn't say that respect is rare but I would say that disrespect is common.

I don't think it's rare.

Most of the people I've met have respect by the bucketload. I think the arseholes are in the minority and you just need to put them aside and concentrate on the decent folk.

Misconception is the problem on here.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm not sure it's indicative of the human race as a whole.

Fab is a pastime for, largely, privileged adults to indulge in sex.

The internet and this fairly anonymous way of communicating does lead some people to behave in ways they would not if they could see the other person.

When the lack of respect extends once they know the person then there is more of a cause for concern.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I've met loads of lovely people on here. And even shagged some of them.

We've had odd and possessive but not dirsrepectful. In fact most we have exchanged messages have been very nice, even if we don't find each other attractive.

We must be lucky

"Not sure what you're asking. "

All I know is I wish people wouldn't keep deleting their profile and setting up new ones. It makes note-keeping so much more difficult....

OP, I find respect isn't something you find, it is something you earn. I hope you have better luck this time.

I would say my respect has to be earned. I'm quite willing to be courteous on occasions though.

Being an attractive female on a sex site abundant with horny men, I can not imagine a quarter of what you receive in male... Or is that mail? Anyway, unfortunately, you can't really do anything about how they treat others, only how they treat you, so if everyone does this, and they're arseholes to everyone, they'll be blocked by everyone. Case closed, happy ending for sensible Fabbers

In my experience, the majority are respectful but I think we tend to remember the rude, offensive aggression of the few more?

Just a thought.

Maybe what I'm wondering....is everyone out for the moment, so they don't care how they speak to others as they wont ever meet the,

I always treat people with respect , as my mother taught me... If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all

Block and report them anyway, the other people they're horrible to can also block and report them.

Am sure they have 0 success on here anyway if they're like that.

I don't really get any horrible messages though, i have noticed that older guys tend to be the pushy, rude and manipulative (definitely not all of them are like this and i chat to some older guys but it was enough for me to bring my age limits right down so older can't contact me at all).

Joined another site last week and i can't block by age and they're demanding, swear at me for not replying to them despite me saying my upper age limit is in the 30s on my profile and i won't be interested in them. Entitled pricks who lived in an age where it was ok to rape your wife if you wanted sex.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Is it as simple as the "empty vessels make most sound " principle, whereby the quietly respectful are drowned out by the disrespectful handful?

I think many confuse respect with courtesy/politeness, that's all I'm getting at.

But yes, some are just plain rude.

I'm generally respectful and think people here are too.

Rushed communication can result in a sharpness that perhaps wouldn't be perceived face to face.

I just remember the delightful and let go of the petty stresses that crop up.

Our attention is a fabulous thing - easy to direct and able to absorb what's around. If you find some great people, then pay attention to them.

My apologies to anyone I've caused hassle to - nothing was meant negatively, I've just been careless.
