"Our bath panel sits 2" off of the floor. After 9 years you begin to stop noticing it..... " there always was a gap below - never bothered me one jot - but this now doesnt reach the bath top cos of the way panel is cut around pipes and skirting blah blah - if the sealant didnt look so damn good id drop the bath down again and just have the thick wodge of silicone as opposed to the nice thin line i achieved today

"ok so i took off the bath panel - repainted it - 2 coats over the day - in the meantime i took out all the old sealant and lifted the bath up slightly from underneath as had been explained to me - filled bath with water and applied new sealant - looks amazing and well pleased for getting bath raised correctly to give even space all round - tidied up and came to replace bath panel - and of course it doesnt bloody fit now - the lip that sits under the edge of the bath doesnt reach now - so i will have to wait til i have an extra pair of hands to hold it up there whilst i re screw the wood its fixed onto at the bottom - i did try shoving things under but just too awkward - was a successful day until then " you need to screw a piece of wood to the floor behind panel put two wedges under panel at each end then screw it to wood you screwed to floor xx
