Some guys will go to any length just to wear lycra in public ........

as a local I can't see what all the fuss is about with the GNR.

In my teens I did that distance from newcastle to south shields on a sat night on a regular basis when i had spent my taxi money in the night clubs

As a runner nor can I yet I still really want to do it! Friend did it last year and didn;t overly rate it. I think it's got so much history attached to it now it's become a must do event based on reputation alone

Op hope you have a great run!

bristol

i did it many moons ago in fancy dress as andy pandy ...met up with paddington bear, bananaman, big bird and many other characters along the way and we all ran together ...was a truly amazing day and the spectators are amazing handing out plates of sliced oranges and cheering you on the whole way ...the last bit as you approach the sea front is uphill though but you have got there almost ...trying to find your lift at the finish line a a whole new challenge !! hope you enjoy it !
