I can get back into the gym 2 days a week once my lad starts school on my days off. Unfortunately those days are tues/weds..

What's gonna be the best way for me to train? I was kinda doing a PPL when I was going 4/5 times a week but that's not gonna work great in 2 days is it? Lol..

Any suggestions? X

Yes, seems one of the options would be to get a home gym, you can get one of those for not so much these days.

Try a site called fitbodyhq. It has loads of workouts and info for free. Including a workout for busy mums who can't get to a gym everyday.

pull ups? thats your altenative to a gym back workout? it doesn't come anywhere close.

leg workouts need big weights. you cant squat tins of beans in your living room.

here

Get yourself some resistance bands (dirt cheap and you can get different resistances)

Extremely versatile and can be used to replicate similar exercises you would do in the gym using equipment.

Also you could use one of those giant water bottles as a weight .

Fill or empty as required.

Goblet squats with a full one is going to have some effect

I used to powerlift, but when I can't get to the gym (as I usually can't) I do one leg squats. I mean, that's 60kg that I'm putting through my legs.

Sure, it's not as much as going and lifting 60kg in the gym, but it's not bad.

There's plenty of powerlifters who can't pistol squat...

You do not need a gym to get toned and fit, just the will power to do so. You can even include your little one in your daily exercises even making him/her part of it. That way it will not even feel like you are exerciseing. It is always easy to find reasons not to train then it is to train.

Full body workout twice a weekly, rotate exercises between sessions (compound and isolation). Keep it simple and you're on to a winner

Hi hottie, did you say on another thread you had an Xbox kinect or Nintendo wii? You can get interactive training games to give you a good workout, UFC personal trainer as an example (and you can adjust the difficulty level). No need to buy expensive equipment to work out at home, push ups, sit ups, burpees, obliques, jacks, scissors, star jumps, loads of exercises don't need any equipment.

For the average person 3 sets of 12 pull ups is normally well out of their range.

After that you got a back pack and some heavy things? Weighted pull ups.

Squats yeah you can't do massive weights at home but lots of weighted lunges, light weights squats etc will help.

She's not looking to become the next miss muscle.

Sorry I didn't read all the post but I think this is do able.... Say squats , straight leg deads and som calf ... Legs done!

Military press and a seated wide row , that shoulders and all the trap work.

Play to the compound movements , hitting multiple muscle groups with one movement .... Might have to reduce weight 'cause full range of motion is going to be your friend ... Some ones probably said all this and I'm not and expert

You don't need a gym, weights or any equipment.just use your body, look up calisthenics.loads you can do in your own living room.

If you got £17 then buy a pull up bar.

Some really good and really bad advice in this thread.

The thing that is stumping me is that you want to gym on consecutive days. I'd definitely go with compound movements and full body. Perhaps squat and push (bench, overhead press etc) on one day and pull on the other (deadlift, row etc). They are gonna be big days though and might hurt after...

Like anything, its important to find something you are going to stick to, and since you have said that you have adherence problems excercising at home, I'm not going to reccomend you do that.

Since you said you wanted to lift, I'm also not going to reccomend you play fucking tennis...
