Like it or loathe it there is some serious talent on it this year.

They've moved away from hopeless no-ones to people with talent who have been working hard for years.

I would rather spend a saturday evening repeatedly stubbing cigerettes out in both eyes and being repeatedly kicked in the balls rather than watch X-Factor. It's everything that is wrong with music, and to an extent society.

I have a real softspot for BGT because it encourages the weird and the odd. X-factor just encourages conformity and blandness.

I like the ones that start a song which turns out to be rubbish. They are even stopped because its so bad! Fortunately they are asked to do another, much better song which is given a standing ovation! . These are wonderful genuine moments and are in no way scripted.

I generally don't watch it cos its total tripe... Did catch a bit before and have to say, I'm not usually one for saying anything about peoples weight.... But if the cameras add 20lbs....Cheryl but be in negative figures..... Ridiculously thin....
