Simple answer is yes .

We did wonder a short while back whether we should seek help , but couldn't see our way clear to spending valuable shagging time being counselled .

We have been together over 5 years and swinging for 4 . We go out swinging at least twice a week and often have multiple meets . We always play together when we get home too, and in the 5 years together haven't had a day we haven't had sex together .

So with the fun we have together and well in excess of 1000 meets on 4 years , I would say we are sex addicts

Sex makes me want more. And more. And more.

The only way to control it when I'm not getting regular sex is to abstain completely.

I haven't had sex this year. That sounds pretty pathetic but since I'm not in a position to meet regularly and struggle to find meets that are on my wavelength, it's much easier to cope with than sporadic sex.

Yes, I think it's an ideal place. People understand a fair bit about others here, plenty of similar people too.

It's also not easy for everyone to get sex here, so whilst it may seem like being in a sweet shop, the reality - as some who've posted above, is different.

A lot of us like accepting others, warts and all (herpes is fine too), and there's good frank discussion, which makes it all the better.

I know it's a joke but i feel it is. I can talk about sex and that helps me not to fantasize about it as much, also i can 'get to know' people a little before i have sex with them and am learning not to make rash decisions.

I can actually see the predatory behaviour some people have as well when they think you're up for anything and people talk about that in here and confirm it's not nice for the person being treated like that. Little things help.

To be very honest I wasn't this sexually liberated till I joined fab. I come from a very strict Asian upbringing even when growing up in London. When I joined fab it was as a couple and he decided to do it with his current girlfriend. I was upset and was like "fcuk this, I'll do it on my own" and I did. I did some things that I would not normally do, I risked my safety in some situations in more ways than one. It was liberating, but it got out of control at times. My friends said I was becoming a different person. I was becoming more of my swingers persona than myself in my normal life. I am learning to slow down and even taking a break from swinging soon. I don't want this lifestyle to consume me...

I was thinking more along the lines of a site like this is not helping the addiction as it's pretty full on here, not just meeting others for sex, which is not always plentiful of course, but the pictures, discussions, messaging etc. It's being involved in a hobby which is keeping sex to the forefront instead of distracting oneself from it.

I think that's true also. But the risky behaviour is one main problem with for me (as well as it interfering with real life), idk some people might use somewhere like this to enable them to act out their risky behaviour in real time, but for me i can calm down and take my time to think before doing anything. I'm not into pics or dirty chat so i do spend more time socially chatting on here then being sexual, might sound weird or not make sense even coz i mainly talk to guys i'm only sexually interested in. Dunno will have a think more, i feel better about myself though and like the way i've changed.

I realised I was using fab as an escape and also things were beginning to control me rather than the other way around. Not addiction but it was a crutch and certainly I was starting to edge towards things that should have taken avlittle more thought.

Thanks for posting on this thread.. what started off feeling like a bit of fun became very interesting and educational. I think most people on here probably have pretty high sex drives and I can see how this could turn predatory once someone confesses to being a sex addict.. it's almost like finding someone whose weak spot matches your needs. But of course that's a horrible way of trying to take advantage of others. I'm not really the kind of guy that'd do that anyway, I can't even bring myself to pay for sex as it just seems like I'm taking advantage of someone, but thanks for making it clear to me

I think I'm more of a porn addict than a sex addict, because I can't get the sex. I probably get about 2 or 3 fucks a year. Even at my age, my sex drive is still massive, I need to cum most nights. Its a worry sometimes because I'm running out of categories to wank over!
