.

Do they still do leaded then?.

You know in California they do four stroke chainsaws as all two strokes are being outlawed for sale!

.

Suck compress ignite(two strokes of the cylinder for a cycle)

Push out, suck in, compress, ignite (four strokes of the cylinder for a cycle)

Two strokes require the oil be added to the fuel for lubrication where as four strokes separate it, ie two strokes pollute more

But if I may interject, two strokes can be used in more extreme circumstances as the oil is mixed with the fuel therfore lubrication is not a problem to the moving parts. Four strokes on the other hand require pressured oil lubrication to keep things going anyone fancy a shag ?

There power to weight ratio is massive as well, that's why they existed but there pollution is why there doomed!

Ten years and diesels will be going the same way.

That will leave us with petrol hybrids going onto fully electric.

At this point I need to interject with

Wankle

I do believe Norton bought the rights to put them in bikes and I think Mazda bought the rights for cars!.

Neither caught on for various reasons

Cos suck, squeeze, bang, blow isn't divisible by an odd number.

On the odd stroke you're down when you need to be up.
