Sprogs are in bed awaiting an early start tomorrow and back to school

It's peaceful and quiet in the house right now, though I'm anticipating a rush down the stairs as they complain they can't get to sleep

I'm so looking forward to a day all on my own (excepting the hound)

Mine went back today....

No Tv

No Music

Long soak in the bath with no one shouting through the door

Floated about the house in just a towel

No xbox

Or bloody fucker Jack Septici on you tube...

Today was sheer bliss until 3.15

Enjoy tomorrow

Omg, I shouldn't laugh, but the way you've written that is awesome

I'm glad I don't have kids, but this doesn't put me off wanting to be a parent must be something wrong with me

Chams or Socials

Mine are in Turkey until Thursday. Youngest's birthday Monday, back to school Tuesday. I'm glad it's dark earlier, should make it easier to get them in bed at a decent hour!!!

Been there done that...

Mine are all grown up...

one in the Navy...

one still at home...

No school runs...

No evenings watching karate, dropping and collecting from brownies, scouts or youth clubs...

No Saturday morning riding lessons

No Sunday morning swimming

My free time is MINE!

**Manic laughter ensues**

MINE I say MINE!

I think im going to start a petition...

Nine weeks in the summer is to much for parents to cope with !!!!!

At least in England its only 6 weeks of torture !!!

Oh the bliss....

Using electric toothbrush now that we've returned from holiday, no more doing it by hand.

Brushing my teeth, of course.

And using proper toothpaste too, not Mr DDC's sensitive non minty stuff!

Hooray; sprogs despatched

Now sitting in the kitchen; coffee brewing; croissants under the grill; and firing my laptop up to catch up on some work
