Off on my holidays on Friday for 4 days in Italy and San Marino.....go to checkin online....omg I have realised I have entered the wrong name....as in miss spelt my own name ...... for those that are wondering I didn't put Mike I actually spelt my name micahel....

So mad panic on companies website to try online....but you have to phone up...phone up explain what has happened..that's 220 eur to change the flight...but the nice gentleman say he will do it for free......

Mad panic over

I wonder has anyone done the same stupid thing?

Turned up to an airport without my passport. Had been doing internal flights for so long I just didn't think I needed it for EU travel. Doh!

When I got married many many years ago, I got the tickets in my married name and forgot my passport was in my maiden name...

£175 to get the ticket changed to my maiden name at the airport...

Not a great start to honeymoon...

Myself and Ex hubby argued and fell out before we even boarded the plane

I've not done that but I did go to the airport a whole day early to get a flight once before. Long story how that happened. I felt a right twonk when the staff pointed out my flight wasn't departing until 26hours time

Suppose it could have been worse, I could have been a day late!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Turned up for a UK internal flight with no proof of id.

Booked a hotel with a similar name to the one intended, in the same town, then gone to the one I hadn't booked.

Turned up to a theatre with tickets for yesterday's performance.

I have my moments!

I've forgotten my name completely at work

I've found myself unable to count on occasion

I have lived where I am currently for 3 years and still do not know the landline number

I only changed my bank details in may

I constantly put stuff down one minute, go to pick it up the next and already I've lost it

Although, in my favour

No matter how lost I am, I can always find home

And no matter how many times I get knocked down, I get back up

Filling in some forms in the bank and forgot my address wouldn't be so bad but I'd only lived here about 17 years at the time

Went to a hotel, gave them my name and they couldn't find my room, I was giving them my maiden name that I hadn't used for 25 years

Such a frigging hassle to get them to swipe my card and accept a signature...!!!

Then I remembered my number as soon as I walked out tesco,s door lol

On a similar note, I've had about 30 pins because I kept remembering my old pin when I lost my card and had to get a new pin one time

I had to travel for a work thing recently and my link at the other end asked for my train receipts during the lunch break. I handed over the receipt. When I got to the station to get on the train home I found I had given her the ticket and kept the receipt. That was a £50+ error.

Went to Hull for Amsterdam ferry with my old passport.

The very understanding lady on passport control was sweet-talked by the persuasive Mr DDC and all was well. Coming home again was a breeze, surprisingly.

at a party at a girls house many years ago, i was there next morn as we played around on cam rooms..She had a visitor coming and she asked me to stay in the living room, which I did.

I ended up really needing a pish, and used an empty cider bottle, and I put it in my bag.

He had left, and we carried on till the afternoon, I left and caught a bus..then lost my phone and bus ticket for the next bus..

So in the scorching heat i had a 15mile journey along the canal..I realized i was thirsty so had a swig of my cider ..two gulps in I realized what it was....

I walked absolutely parched and wretching for miles before I got home...

I've had misspelled flight tickets before that I hadn't checked quickly after purchase. Fee was waived too. It's a bit of a stress factor, when you're expecting to get away easily.

Ticket changes for admin reasons shouldn't be chargeable imo.

I have flown internationally without a passport, after losing it on the way to the airport abroad. A few phone calls fixed the passage. Did get my passport returned too, which was a major bonus - subject to a parcel charge.

Things like this do happen to me. I'm a little disorganized.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Went to a trade show at Windsor racecourse. Train from Bournemouth to London Waterloo then change for a train to Windsor. A "nice gentle walk" to the racecourse only to arrive ......a week too early!
