Changing yourself

Somewhere in North Norfolk

It's often said that a person should only change themself if they want to, not for anyone else.

It's a fair comment. Changing for yourself is much more likely to be successful than trying to change for someone else.

But what about changing in order to get something you want. Is that changing for yourself or for someone else?

Would you change to get something you want? Have you? Did it work?

Thats not changing for someone else unless it's a person you want.

That's changing for you...

Yes; I rebuilt/deprogrammed myself in my early 20s.

I'm a lot happier.

depends on what they want is if your going to change yourself

many a person slims down to get into that dress that they want so much but they have to change a little to get it

ive only changed myself because I wanted to do as the reason behind the change, was becoming as a couple

would I change something to get what I want, no

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

If you are changing to get something you want then it's for you. Just be realistic about what you can and can't change and why you really want to make the change.

The last time I said how I did it/what was instrumental, I was banned from the forums for 24hrs.

Currently in the process of change. I originally started two years ago, then I got into a relationship. Now I'm trying again. Its kinda been a snakes and ladders run in terms of climbing up and falling back into bad habits
