How much have you changed in the past twelve months?

In a reflective mood tonight... Triggered by an event that happened a year ago tomorrow, for me, something that indicated a big step in my personal healing process - a subject that I can't discuss in the forums - and since then I've gained more self esteem, general confidence & sexual confidence

Ive got over a certain event that happened 5 years ago but it's still there but not as raw. I have also established that I do love myself but going to make a few changes such as to loose weight I have also reliased how much I want to settle down and have a family (dating is hard work ) also I need to be having more fab fun...

I decided that I shouldn't blame myself for my husband not wanting sex, but also that at 33 I wasn't ready to live a sexless life.

I've lost another 2 stone.

I've gained a stone of it now I'm pregnant.

I chopped my hair.

I've become a lot more outgoing.

Im a lot heavier than a year ago and seem to have got more emotional and bad tempered too, (in private life), not fab life, I should add. Family stuff causing it, Fab helps me chill out

For me it was going back for more counselling, I still look at things and am sad for me at the moment it seems that most of my friends are pregnant and putting baby scan pictures up on facebook I get a bit emotional when I see that....just at 35 I feel like time is running out and it's a horrible feeling to have.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm definitely 12 months older and fatter than I was last year.

Some of the demons have been slayed and others have sprung up. New adventures both here and in my day to day life. Some new friends here and the loss of some too.

It's been an interesting year and I continue to learn from what has happened.

I met Mr law and that was a massive change for me and my life. Since he moved in, our house has become a home and I am much more centred now. Our kids, apart from one, are finished their education (one left at college, one about to start GCSEs) and time to focus on us and my career. I never thought I would settle and find someone I clicked with to this extent ... have fab to thank for that .... feel I am coming into my own and having time to do things for me ..and a better more balanced person for it. Promotion at work means major new responsibilities, but bring it on

My self-esteem and self-confidence have grown enormously. Can't really put my finger on why but I really feel I've turned a corner. Come across a few people who've helped restore my faith in humanity and shown me that life might just be worth living after all. Really looking forward to what the future may hold for me now.

Accepted more things about my sexuality and the things that turn me on (and don't).

Become more tolerant of certain situations, but also more resolute about my own life and the direction I want to take it in.

And... I've gained more trust.

In the space of 365 days EXACTLY, I've gone from having a mental block about performing oral sex on a man... a year ago tomorrow, I managed to do it with my fwb for the first time... now I'm asking him to tie my wrists behind my back so I can do it hands free

I'm always changing, I'm always learning, if people put me straight about something and prove me wrong, I just accept it, to do anything else is to stagnate. But I'm learning from observation now more than from secondhand knowledge. So I feel that I have changed a lot in the past twelve months, hopefully in a positive direction.

I got out of a psychologically abusive and damaging relationship about 13 months ago.. I have grown into the person I always should have been and I like me and where I am at right now....surprisingly for me, I have made friends on this forum and they have been a part of my healing and growing process for which I thank them all.

I'm envious of friends who have happy marriages/relationships but I also know I'm not cut out for monogamy.

One of the saddest things was talking to my ex on a work night out last Friday was me telling him about things I'd done sexually recently & him saying we'd never really talked properly about what we wanted. He was jealous but respected what I'd done but there are no feelings there anymore. He's asked me to help him improve his POF profile even. I think he was surprised at how sexually liberated I'd become.

Think I've met the man I'll spend the rest of my life with, which is incredible. I think the next year will be bigger in changes as a result.

Health's been a bit shit but could be worse.

Work's no different really, except for taking a bit of a step back from travelling as much.

It's been a very up and down year. Lost my lovely grandad, mum was diagnosed with breast cancer but luckily all clear now. I've had my heart ripped out by the man I love and lastly i happily got pregnant with my second child via donor.

I'm in exactly the same place as I was last year. This time a year ago bank holiday weekend on the Sunday I was in Prism nightclub in Bristol, a good almost 2 hours drive away from Swansea. Had to go there with my friend as her bf got a job there as a doorman, was nagging to come home by 10 as I wanted to go out with the guy I was sort of seeing, managed to get her to drive back, at midnight I jumped in my car and met him and his friends to join his night out then went home with him. Still pissed off and gutted that nothing came of him!
