Don't you just love those who reply after you've sent a polite no thanks, you get "your loss" sent back to you.

"It makes them feel good "

It honestly doesn't bother me that much. I guess if people want to say it to make them feel better, hearing it is the least I can do after turning them down.

like all men. he has no control over his penis, but to lose one is careless.

My standard reply was along the lines of; thanks for taking the time to message me but you're not what I'm looking for on here at present, take care and happy swinging. The majority of replies where respectful but I did get some abuse. People who think abuse is acceptable will do it regardless of how you say it.

Very difficult to answer the OPs question as I don't get any introductory messages hitting my inbox that give me an opportunity to ever say no lol!

But if ever I do in the future (well a boys gotta dream, right?) and they're not for me then I would hope I would reply in the way that I would like to replied to, civil and respectful. If I get a 'your loss' from that then so be it I won't be losing any sleep over it

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

The thing is, we men actually DO have time to enter into pointless discussion via message, so if this did happen, i'd quite happily go back and forth until they got bored.

In the past I've had snotty messages about forum posts (hard to believe, I'm sure) where someone says something, then blocks me to prevent a reply. That's always amusing - so desperate to have the last word!

God, why even bother messaging someone and saying that? Just more crap to delete for me.

Anyway OP, i don't even reply to say no thanks, i wait for the ' ??? ' message then block.

Central

It is my loss! Meeting someone where it would be uncomfortable, tedious and awkward, as the inevitable rejection occurs in person. Thank goodness I lose that.

If they need to do something to regain their power or self esteem, let them. But a block saves you the trouble.
