Apparently they are now advocating using "mediums" and paranormals to solve crimes....

Suppose it beats getting off their arises and actually doing it themselves?

They would have more success if they didn't spend so much time and effort on traffic duty

Seriously - that's the plot lost, genuine cases now delayed while they listen to some idiot trying to make a name for themselves

If you want to believe good for you, glorified cold readings have no place in a criminal investigation

I would be worried about an organisation that deals with fatal accidents and doesn't take any measures to prevent them,

To be fair, there was a time when genetic finger printing was dismissed as expensive hokum.

We're not talking about people being convicted solely on the evidence of Gypsy Rose but if mediumship can help narrow down the list of locations to search or provide a list then of questions to put to a suspect then we should give it a try.

Just near wet myself..... As talking about this on here there was a short article on sky news...like 3 mins ago.

Half way through talking to an American a Psychic who "helps" the police (but couldn't actually give any example) the interviewer had to cut the interview as programme was ended......she didn't see that coming....!!

It's nothing new, they've been doing it for years along with remote viewing (which has been tested scientifically and the US government used it widely during the Cold War)

I'm guessing there's a media spin to this, putting it all out of proportion as another Public service bashing story.

OP I agree it's all a bit daft sounding but you lose credibility when you introduce your personal prejudice into the story.

In what way did I introduce my personal prejudice?......... Like yourself I thought it sounded a bit daft. It is, however, an actual fact that no medium or paranormal has ever been able to produce any hard evidence whatsoever. As has been said by others on here...a million quid is on offer and has been for a long time...it remains unclaimed.

Your op implied they were lazy and didn't want to do it themselves with the getting off their arses comment at a guess.

When you used 'mediums' that implied bias however this isn't the news so being impartial not needed. Mediums and the such use psychological techniques to buff their way through 'reading' preying on those grieving. All we need is more police time wasted when some actual good old fashion leg work is what's needed.
