With Elvis a lotof his songs were written by other people and the rights were bought off them for next to nothing (relatively speaking); As far as I am aware The Beatles primarily wrote their own.

Plus who can resist listening to "Here comes the sun; without smiling ?

Listen to an interview by a guy call Eddie Rabbitt the other day. Very little known.

However by Elvis singing one of his songs, Eddie then became a star in his own right.

Whilst The Beatle's wrote some of the best songs ever, there were writers out ther throwing their songs at Elvis.

Elvis even showed respect for The Beatles by covering some of their classics.

Both were world-changing performers.

I,ve not heard of eddie rabbitt, but I agree with everything Else said here, just for the (record No pun Intended) In 1964 the beatles At one time had 1,2,3,4,5, top songs On billboard charts they also had the 10th Position as well, can not see This ever happening again from anyone.

Most people here are discussing the artists from a music point of view, shame it cannot be kept to that.

The beauty of public threads we guess!!
