Well as the world cup this year is being held in England the event is going to be massive for the country and I'm sure everyone will get on board.

Does anyone plan to meet through the event, as in I'm going to the Eng-Aus game so will be in the area Oct 2nd til 4th.

Very jealous, we'll have to make do with watching it on the telly

I'd be more excited if I actually knew what the heck was going on and why all these penalties keep being given. I watch it and follow play, then there will be a random stoppage and I never really have a Scooby what all the infringements are and exactly WHY penalties have been awarded...

If I can ever be bothered (very unlikely to be honest) I'll try and learn the rules properly but until then I'll never really properly enjoy rugby like I do other sports.

So in answer to your question - I'm very indifferent about the whole tournament to be honest. If England do well I'll watch it, beyond that I have no interest in watching any other games.

Well the atmosphere in the area will be amazing plus a fanzone too to take in the game. I think a lot will be here without a ticket just soaking it all in...

Can't wait, rugby is my 4th favourite sport after

1. Football

2. Football

3. Football

I played for Hampshire in my teens. I wasn't surprised my Burgess being picked, I think they were always going to take him regardless, his physicality is immense but I'd rather see him in the back row as I dint think he can yet read the game well enough in the centre.

Dan in fairness usually the ref makes it very clear what infringement has been made and clips are often replayed highlighting the act.... Keep the faith.

even with the replays I still struggle but I will definitely take in a few games and see if I can get enthused!

I flew into Sydney the night England won the World Cup which was interesting

This is how I feel about football and yet rugby I understand perfectly. Maybe it comes from having played!

OP- yes very much looking forward to it x

And Wales too

I'm not liking forward to it on a personal side as the hotel prices in Cardiff are going through the roof, being quoted nearly £600 per night, which is making my business travel impossible

I shall be enjoying it on the telly though
